One show, one block, one reservation
Furnaces North America 2026 is the Metal Treating Institute's fall meeting and the heat-treating industry's trade show and technical conference. It runs at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S. Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225, with the show floor in Exhibit Hall B.
The venue publishes October 12th to 15th, 2026 and a forecast attendance of 1,500. The show site prints October 12-14 on its home, schedule, hotel and registration pages and schedules its sessions on those three days. Thursday, October 15 is the travel day.
One person holds the rooms under one reservation, with one rooming list and one cut-off date.
The programme the group has to cover
MTI describes 35 half-hour technical sessions across two days. The published times run:
- Monday, October 12: registration and badge pick-up 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the ICC outside Hall B; exhibitor move-in 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Hall B; YES IV management training 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Marriott for MTI members; kickoff welcome reception 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Marriott.
- Tuesday, October 13: registration 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; technical sessions 8:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.; FNA Business Expo 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Hall B; trade show floor reception 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 14: registration 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; MTI annual business meeting 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. for members; technical sessions 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; FNA Business Expo 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; exhibitor move-out 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; the MTI final night dinner 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Marriott.
Book the block before 25 September
The host hotel is the Marriott Downtown Indianapolis, 350 W Maryland St, at a published rate of $229. The FNA hotel page carries the reservation link and the line 877-640-7666. The booking deadline is September 25, 2026, a Friday, and show management expects the room blocks to sell out well in advance of the show dates.
MTI asks guests to book only the rooms they will use, because rooms dropped near the meeting date can leave MTI paying a penalty on unused contracted rooms. MTI also warns that callers claiming to represent FNA 2026 run a scam.
The rooming list when the team works different shifts
The booth crew needs Monday for exhibitor move-in from 7:00 a.m. and Wednesday until move-out ends at 10:00 p.m. The session attendees need Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. A plant manager on the MTI side needs Monday's YES IV session and the Wednesday-night dinner.
Build the rooming list on three lines: nights, rooms and names. Take six engineers in three double rooms. Two rooms open Sunday 11 October for the booth pair, because the Monday move-in starts at 7:00 a.m. One opens Monday 12 October for the pair still covering a shift at the plant. All three close out Thursday 15 October, which is 11 room-nights.
Send the check-in dates per room. A property holding one arrival date for three rooms holds all three from that night.
Late approvals and the two deadlines they cross
Approvals at a plant move through engineering, operations and finance, so the two deadlines rarely clear in the same week. September 25 is the room block deadline and October 1 is the registration tier change. The room deadline comes first.
Registration runs $10 for the expo only, $105 for the opening night reception and expo, and $399 for opening night plus the technical sessions, on the tier closing September 30. Each rises on October 1, to $25, $125 and $449. The MTI final night dinner is members only and runs $199 to September 30 and $209 after.
The tier change costs $50 per engineer on the technical-session level and $15 on the expo-only pass. Cancellations take a full refund before September 1 and half a refund to October 2.
Keeping Friday clear at the plant
The last published expo hour is Wednesday 14 October, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nothing appears on the published Thursday.
A Thursday 15 October check-out puts the return travel in Thursday daytime, so the team stands at the plant on Friday 16 October. A booking through Thursday night moves the return to the Friday and loses a production day. Set the check-out date first.
The numbers a budget holder signs
The $229 rate is the organiser's contracted rate. Six engineers in three double rooms, Sunday 11 October to Thursday 15 October, is 12 room-nights at $2,748. The same three rooms from Monday 12 October is 9 room-nights at $2,061. Staggering two rooms from the Sunday and one from the Monday gives 11 room-nights at $2,519. Six single rooms from the Sunday give 24 room-nights at $5,496.
Six registrations on the technical-session level cost $399 each at the September 1 to September 30 tier, so $2,394, and $2,694 at the October 1 tier. Four on the technical-session level and two on the expo-only pass comes to $1,616. Add the MTI dinner for six and the register reads $3,588.
One request, several arrival dates, one reference
The FNA hotel page publishes no room count for the block, no bed configuration, no breakfast time and no van parking charge, so put those four questions into the request.
