One Day, Two Nights
The Indiana IT Symposium runs on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis. The venue lists the event in Sagamore Ballroom 4-5 with a forecast attendance of 300. SIM Indianapolis hosts it. The chapter's own listing puts the day at 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and it carries no host hotel and no room block.
One day of sessions still takes two hotel nights from a team that travels in. The nights of 13 and 14 October hold the arrival, the event and a Thursday return.
Arrive the Night Before
The day starts at 7:30 a.m. A morning flight has to clear the airport, the badge line and the walk to Capitol Avenue before then. The venue publishes 15 minutes from Indianapolis International Airport to downtown. Send the group in the night before.
A Tuesday arrival holds the nights of 13 and 14 October. The team wakes inside the district, walks to the Sagamore Ballroom, and the reception that closes the day falls inside the stay.
A Thursday Checkout Releases Friday
Book the return for Thursday, 15 October. The rest of the working week stays intact. Put both nights on one reservation and set the checkout date on the confirmation.
One Reservation and One Rooming List
Four to six leaders still travel on one file. Submit one request with both dates, the room count and the headcount. One quote, one confirmation number and one contact come back, and room and tax land on a single invoice.

Approvals That Land Late

The venue lists two further events across 14 October. Metal Treating Institute's Furnaces North America runs 12 to 15 October in Exhibit Hall B with a forecast attendance of 1,500. The Best Practices Expo and Conference runs 13 to 15 October with 1,200. The two carry about 2,700 forecast attendees on top of the symposium's 300.
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms. More than half sit within blocks of the building, and 4,700 connect by skywalk. The venue publishes the skywalk lock-down at about 11:00 p.m. and the re-opening at about 6:00 a.m., both event-dependent. A block inside that network reaches the hall on foot.
What the Sources Do Not Publish
The venue lists doors open as "check event website", and neither page carries a hotel rate or an official room block. Treat any nightly figure as your own input until a hotel quotes.
