Art in the Park sets two days and a six-hour daily window at Valor Park inside The Market Common. Entry is free. The planning question is whether a juried art fair works as a half-day break from a boardroom schedule.
The published dates and clock
The show runs Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The venue is Valor Park, 1120 Farrow Parkway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. The district management office sits at 4017 Deville Street.
This is the third of three 2026 weekends. The Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild lists April 18 and 19, October 10 and 11, and November 14 and 15. The guild dates its founding to 1969 and the show to 1972. It describes Art in the Park as an artist-run venue held three weekends a year.
What the field holds
The guild runs a juried show. It accepts original work and high-quality prints or casts of the artist's own work, and it bars resale items. The media list covers painting, sculpture, woodworking, photography, jewelry, fabric, glass, metal, pottery, stone and mixed media.
The half-day arithmetic
Ten to four is six hours. A team that walks in at 10 a.m. and leaves at 12:30 spends two and a half hours in the park and returns to the boardroom for the afternoon. Sunday carries the shorter district day.
The Town Center runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday between September 7 and December 30, so the fair sits inside the district's open hours both days. Store and restaurant hours vary.
Food and shops inside walking distance
The district directory lists 18 food-and-drink tenants and 24 shopping tenants. The food side breaks into 14 dining listings, 12 bars and 2 cafes. A 30-person team spreads across two or three of them at 12:30 without moving a coach.
The same Saturday morning puts the farmer's market in Valor Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The district states the market is not managed by The Market Common and routes enquiries to Waccamaw Market Cooperative. Two events share one park on November 14, so a group sets a meeting point before it splits.
The park itself
The district names the site Valor Memorial Garden and lists picnic areas, playgrounds, walking paths, sports fields and fishing spots across Valor Park and Grand Park. The City of Myrtle Beach owns and operates the parks. Public event bookings go through the city's Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department.
The district occupies the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. Warbird Park holds static aircraft displays and the Wall of Service a short walk away.
Luggage and the management office
The district offers free luggage storage at the management office with a valid ID. No reservation is needed Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Outside those hours the 24/7 Property Ambassador line is (843) 602-4181. A team arriving from a morning flight drops bags before it walks to the park.
What the fair costs
The calendar entry carries a price of zero, and the guild publishes no group rate. Any spend happens at the artist booths. The guild answers questions by email through JoAnne Utterback at jutterback@sc.rr.com. Neither the guild page nor the Market Common listing carries a rain rule.
The room side
