Two conference days, three possible nights
The Midwest Multifamily Conference runs Thursday 15 October and Friday 16 October 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S Capitol Ave. The Indiana Apartment Association organises the event and publishes 3,000-plus association attendees. The venue publishes its own forecast of 950. Size the block against the larger figure.
The conference day starts with a session. Registration opens 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the desk outside Hall H. Morning networking runs 8 to 8:45 a.m. The first keynote runs 9 to 10 a.m. in the Sagamore Ballroom. Education blocks follow at 10:15 and 11:30. The trade show fills Hall H from 1:45 to 5 p.m. Thursday and 12:45 to 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Count the nights from that timetable. A property team that wants both days takes a Wednesday night and a Thursday night, then checks out Friday. The MMC Awards Dinner runs Friday evening in the Marriott Ballroom on the second floor of the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. A team that stays for the dinner books a third night and travels Saturday morning.
The host hotel, and a cut-off already behind us
The Indiana Apartment Association reserved rooms at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, 350 W Maryland St. The association publishes 14 September 2026 as the final date to reserve at the discounted rate. That date has passed.
One request in front of the downtown market gives the properties a rate to answer. bookMyTeam sends a single request to 50-plus hotels per destination and returns the offers side by side in one dashboard. Its Indianapolis directory lists 273 properties. Group rates start at 10 or more rooms per night. The platform states that some hotels discount from five rooms depending on season and availability. An eight-person property team sits below the standard threshold and a fifteen-person team sits above it.
One reservation and one rooming list
MMC admission sells per person and per plan. Plan A covers the entire conference at $662 for members and $858 for non-members, with all lunches, the seminars, trade show access and the awards dinner. Plan B covers Thursday only at $417 and $534. Plan C covers Friday only at the same two prices. Plan G, the maintenance package, covers Friday lunch, one afternoon seminar, trade show access and a MESH ticket at $233 and $301. Plan D covers the awards dinner alone at $251 and $326.
The association states that plans cannot be shared between multiple people and that each person registers for their own plan. A rooming list built from the role assignment has to match the registration list name for name. One reservation holds the rooms. Separate registrations hold the badges.
Supplier members must exhibit at the trade show to attend. Check that line against the attendee list before counting heads or room types.
Late approvals and the dates that bite
Registration closes 14 October at 12 p.m. EDT for every conference plan. The awards dinner plan closes 13 October at 11:59 p.m. The association publishes a bulk registration sheet for groups of 15 or more.
Cancellation terms step down twice. A cancellation submitted after 25 September 2026 draws a 50 percent refund. After 6 October 2026 the association issues no refund. A substitution made after 6 October carries a $25 service charge, including substitutions taken at onsite registration on 15 or 16 October. Substitutions need written authorisation from the original registrant.
Those dates set the deadline for the approval the finance team signs. A block held until October has no contracted rate behind it, because the association's rate closed in September.
Friday, out, and the weekend clear
The programme closes at 5 p.m. Friday. Indianapolis International Airport sits a 15-minute drive from the convention center, with curbside taxi service outside baggage claim. A Friday departure leaves the weekend clear.
Buses, mini-buses, school buses and motorcoaches park through Denison Parking and iPark. The Marriott Downtown garage sits at 51 South Missouri Street.
Book the block

The platform publishes 15-40% below rack rates and $0 fees on its home page. Its FAQ states that hotels pay a commission on accepted bookings and that no markup is added to the posted rate.
