One rate, set by the organiser
The March for Life holds its host hotel block at the Westin Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel. The property sits at 999 9th St NW, across from the Washington Convention Center and between Capitol Hill and the White House.
The organiser sets the group rate at $203 a night and applies it to every room, including triple and quad occupancy. The event page describes the rate as the current federal per diem plus tax. The 2027 room list template prices one night at $203.00 plus $32.38 tax, for $235.38.
The organiser counts a group as 10 or more rooms. A team that needs ten rooms qualifies. The group leader completes the 2027 room list template and sends it to the hotel's group reservation contact.
The deadline for group room lists is November 14, 2026. Individual reservations close December 29, 2026. Both group and individual reservations are open now.
The hotel holds no meeting space for the event this year. The organiser cites limited availability at the Westin.
The ten-room, two-night total
Book two nights to cover arrival on January 21 and departure on January 23. Ten rooms for two nights cost $4,707.60.
Forty people in ten quads pay $117.69 each for the stay, or $58.84 per person per night. Twenty people in ten doubles pay $235.38 each. The room charge holds flat as occupancy rises, and the bed plan sets the per-head figure.
Build the room list before November 14. The organiser ties the $203 rate to the list, and the hotel confirms the block from that list.
Getting the team to the Mall
The rally runs on the National Mall at 11 a.m. for the pre-rally concert, noon for the rally and 1 p.m. for the march.
The Westin's Metro station is Gallery Place/Chinatown. WMATA charges $2.25 to $6.75 for a one-way rail trip, and a SmarTrip card costs $2. Budget $6.50 per person for a card and one round trip at the low fare, and $15.50 at the high fare. WMATA's group sales office answers on 202-962-5700.
Charter buses need a trip permit from DC DMV. The organiser names Union Station and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception as the two parking locations. DC DMV issues the permit for a fee and states that an owner without one draws a $500 fine. File the permit before the operator sets its route.
Union Station's bus terminal holds 32 bus spaces a day. Parking permits go first come, first served, and only a reservation guarantees a space. Published bus rates run $20 to $45 per time block by season and time of day, or $60 to $75 for a reserved space with in-and-out privileges. Reservations go to businfo@uspgllc.com.
Layers, meals and the rest of the ledger
The organiser's clothing note covers the weather. January in Washington is unpredictable, and the planner tells marchers to pack layers and check the forecast. The list names a winter coat, a winter hat, gloves, warm socks and comfortable shoes. A team of 40 that arrives without gloves buys 40 pairs downtown at retail.
Personal items sit on the same list: backpack, hand warmers, water, snacks, phone and charger, toiletries.
Two line items sit outside the room budget. The Rose Dinner Gala runs 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Westin on January 22 and requires a ticket. The planner prints no gala price. Metro fares for 40 people run $260 to $620.
A ten-room team of 40 carries $4,707.60 in lodging and $260 to $620 in Metro fares. The total lands between $4,967 and $5,328 before meals, the bus permit fee and the gala.
