A corporate running team at the 2026 CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon books one reservation and one rooming list. Race weekend runs Thursday, 5 November, to Saturday, 7 November, and the block runs on five dates.
One reservation, one rooming list
Beyond Monumental holds guestrooms at downtown properties through the 2026 Hotel Block site, with the dropdown set to “Attendee” and the access code field left blank. The Visit Indy Housing Bureau answers block questions at housing@visitindy.com and 317-262-8191, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.
One reservation under the team lead's name keeps the booking in a single record, puts the whole party on one arrival date, and gives finance one confirmation to reconcile.
Occupant names are due 29 September
September 29, 2026 is the deadline to assign guest occupant names to the rooms held under one name. A lead holding three rooms has until that Tuesday to say who sleeps where.
State three consecutive nights in the request. A preferred property can drop out of the results for one arrival and departure pair while single or non-sequential nights remain in the block.
The other four dates
- 5 to 16 October – new reservations and added nights, with the date varying by hotel and availability.
- 8 October – the last day to cancel without penalty. From Friday, 9 October, a $25 fee applies per reservation cancelled.
- 22 October – the last day to modify a reservation through the Housing Bureau, including a change of name. The property charges a cancellation or a no-show after 22 October.
- After 22 October – the property handles modifications and new nights directly.
A team of six can become four, then seven, as race weekend nears. Headcount changes work as name changes until 29 September and inside the 5 to 16 October window, and the 8 October date sets the cost of a dropped room. Two block terms decide that cost, and the network's own explainer on blocks carries both. A cut-off date returns unclaimed rooms to general inventory. An attrition clause sets the minimum share of the block the planner must fill.
Room nights
The block site returns a nightly rate and a property list once a search runs, so the request carries the rate work. Thursday to Sunday is three nights. Six runners in three double rooms is nine room-nights, four in two double rooms is six, and twelve in six double rooms is eighteen.
A team of five or six sits below the group threshold most properties set, so the request route carries the booking. bookMyTeam quotes group rates from 10 or more rooms per night, and some properties discount from five rooms depending on season. The entry side
General registration for all three in-person distances is closed. The organiser lists a waitlist for the full and half marathon, and charity partners carry entries at each organisation's own fundraising or donation minimum.
Active military members, veterans, first responders and their immediate families receive a 10 percent discount off the price at the time of registration, claimed by emailing a copy of the military or work ID.
A runner who cannot make the date can defer to 2027 with proof of injury, pregnancy or deployment for a $20 fee, with documentation due Friday, 25 September 2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET. A transfer to another runner costs $20 and closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, 25 September.
Race weekend clock
Packet pickup runs Thursday, 5 November, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday, 6 November, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Indiana Convention Center. Gear check opens at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at Washington Street and West Street, the half marathon and the marathon start at 8:00 a.m., the 5K at 8:40 a.m., and the course closes at 3:30 p.m. A Sunday check-out returns the team home for Monday.
Every participant collects the official clear gear check bag at the expo on Thursday or Friday, and gear check accepts that bag alone. One person can collect packets for the group with each runner's check-in pass, assigned bib number and a copy of that runner's government-issued photo ID.
Getting the team to the start
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms, and the venue counts 4,700 of them as connected to the Indiana Convention Center by skywalk. The airport sits 15 minutes away and the convention center stands at 100 S. Capitol Avenue. The race's parking page counts 73,000-plus spots around the city and posts race-day options in the fall.
Five details belong in the request. Confirm the block size for the whole team, the room configuration, the breakfast start time on race morning, the van parking charge, and single-floor placement.
