Cowgirl Gathering: ranch beds, stalls and a 9 November cut-off

The Cowgirl Gathering runs 12 to 16 November 2026. The competition sits at The Ranch at NRS, 309 CR 4228, Decatur, TX 76234. The closing evening sits at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, 1720 Gendy Street, Fort Worth. The organiser is Marked For Greatness Properties, reachable on 817-222-6411.

The two addresses sit in different counties. Decatur town centre is about 34 straight-line miles from the Stockyards hotels, and the ranch publishes no coordinates, so that figure measures the distance to the town.

The ranch sells its own beds

The Ranch at NRS lists a bunkhouse room with two queen beds, a private bathroom with a shower, a vanity, a desk, a microwave, a mini-fridge, air conditioning, heating and free Wi-Fi. The ranch homepage puts the bunkhouse at 10 rooms. Four cabins sleep four to six people, and each cabin carries a full kitchen. An onsite cafe stands on the property.

Neither page prints a nightly rate. The ranch takes bookings through a contact form and a phone line, 940-626-9192. Ask for the rate, the minimum night count and the cancellation term in writing before the block goes firm.

Stalls and hookups

The ranch booking page states that all hookups are 30 amps unless the title says otherwise. Hookups include water and electric only. The same page counts over 100 stalls. The homepage counts over 180 stalls and 60 RV trailer hookups. Both numbers come from the ranch, and the two pages disagree.

The organiser routes stall and RV questions to a second number, 817-569-7135. The barrel race page confirms that stalls and RVs sit on site and publishes no allocation rule, so a travelling team gets its answer from the ranch.

9 November at 5 p.m. fixes the travel dates

Barrel race pre-entries opened 15 September at 8 a.m. They close 9 November at 5 p.m. Late entries run through 13 November with late fees attached. The coach, the flights and the rooms hold before 9 November.

The barrel race pays $39,500 in added money. The $20,000-added 5D runs Friday 13 November with a $175 entry fee, section 1 at 9 a.m. and section 2 at 5 p.m. Exhibitions start 9 a.m. on Thursday 12 November, and the BBR Members Select 5D runs at 2 p.m. that day.

The two ropings take entries at the gate

Breakaway roping and team roping accept on-site entries on 15 November between 7 and 7:45 a.m. Breakaway starts at 8 a.m., and team roping follows it. A 7 a.m. entry window puts the team near Decatur on the night of Saturday 14 November.

The organiser's tickets page lists team roping on 14 November. The team roping page lists 15 November and prints the Sunday entry window. Put the date question to the organiser on 817-222-6411.

Count the room nights from the clock

The barrel race covers Thursday 12 and Friday 13 November. The on-site roping entries sit on Sunday 15 November. Three nights carry the competition, from 12 through 14 November, with checkout on Sunday after the roping.

The Cowgirl Conversation runs 16 November from 5 to 8 p.m. at the museum, with cocktails, live music and panel sessions. A team that stays for that evening adds Sunday 15 November as a fourth night. The Conversation package costs $100 per seat and includes the welcome reception, a catered lunch and the VIP cocktail hour. The Cowgirl Crusader package costs $1,500 for four Conversation seats. The Cowgirl Couture package costs $2,500 for eight.

The five partner hotels print addresses and no rate

The organiser lists five partner hotels: Courtyard Fort Worth Historic Stockyards at 2537 N Main St, Hotel Drover at 200 Mule Alley, Hyatt Place Fort Worth Historic Stockyards at 132 E Exchange Ave, SpringHill Suites Fort Worth Historic Stockyards at 2315 N Main St, and TownePlace Suites Fort Worth Downtown at 805 E Belknap St.

That list carries no rate, no cut-off date and no booking link. Road distance from the museum runs 3.41 miles to TownePlace, 4.03 to SpringHill, 4.33 to Courtyard, 4.37 to Hotel Drover and 4.42 to Hyatt Place. A Stockyards block adds that drive to the Conversation evening.

The rate request carries the dates

bookMyTeam lists 255 hotels in Fort Worth, quotes 15 to 40 percent group savings and states $0 in fees. The directory covers the Stockyards and downtown brands the organiser names.

Send the request with the 9 November answer already in hand. A four-night hold from 12 to 16 November suits the full week. A three-night hold from 12 to 15 November suits the competition alone. Put the ranch rooms, the stall count and the hookup amperage in the same request. A team that brings horses needs the trailer parked at the ranch while the block stays in Fort Worth, and somebody has to price both.

Ask the ranch three questions in writing: the nightly rate for a bunkhouse room, the nightly rate for a cabin, and the stall fee per horse per night.
