The Entry Fee and the Card Fee

The inaugural USAV Golden Gate Classic Girls Junior National Qualifier runs Friday 19 February through Sunday 21 February 2027 at the Moscone Center, 747 Howard Street, San Francisco. Entry is $925 per team.

The payment route changes the total. USA Volleyball states that every credit card payment carries a $25 non-refundable convenience fee, and that paying by check carries no convenience fee. One team settles at $925 by check or $950 by card. Two teams from one club settle at $1,850 or $1,900, so the choice of instrument is worth $50 to that club.

Four Deadlines Before the First Serve

Registration opened at 11:00 a.m. ET on 16 September 2026. Registration closes at 12:00 a.m. ET on Thursday 31 December 2026. The roster deadline is 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday 1 January 2027. The refund deadline is 5:00 p.m. ET on Sunday 10 January 2027. Play opens Friday 19 February 2027.

Every one of those dates lands ahead of the first serve, and the roster date sits on New Year's Day. USA Volleyball publishes one refund: teams not accepted into the event receive a full refund.

How the Open Division Fills

A team entering an Open division starts in Pending status in AES, and USA Volleyball advises against submitting payment while a registration sits in Pending. Where a division draws 24 or more registrations in the first 24 hours, the organiser reviews every team from that window. Priority goes to teams that qualified in the Open or USA division at a national qualifier in the prior season, at the age division immediately below the one entered, or that finished in the top 20 percent of an Open Division field at a national qualifier. A 17 Open entry is judged on 2026 16s results.

Where more than 24 teams meet those criteria, USA Volleyball breaks the tie on the AES registration timestamp, and the first 24 eligible teams receive Ok to Pay status. Where fewer than 24 meet them, the remaining places go to other teams from the review window in timestamp order. Where a division draws fewer than 24 registrations in the first 24 hours, teams are accepted in AES timestamp order until the 24-team capacity is reached.

Divisions rank from the top as Open 15-17, USA 15-17, Liberty 15-17 and American 15-17. USA Volleyball notes that the overall team count will stay fluid and that divisions may grow or shrink up to the event.

Housing Opens After Payment

Housing access follows the status ladder. Only teams in Ok to Pay status receive the booking link through Team Travel Source. Teams in Pending or Waitlist status have no access to hotel accommodation. Full acceptance is the Accepted status, which USA Volleyball sets once payment is received and Team Travel Source confirms the housing.

A club that needs a rooming block writes to the coach and club line. A parent needing a change to an individual reservation uses the parent route. The housing customer service line is (502) 354-9103.

Practice, Doors and the Final Day

Teams arriving a day early can practise at the Moscone Center on Thursday 18 February between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., first come first served and capped at one hour. Doors open at 7 a.m. for morning waves and 2:30 p.m. for afternoon waves. On the final day the last match is scheduled to start at 3 p.m., and USA Volleyball tells families not to schedule departing flights before 6 p.m.

Two venue rules belong in the team manager's note to families. No outside food, coolers or chairs are allowed inside the convention center, and the Moscone Center sells food in the venue. BallerTV holds the streaming rights for the event.

A Second Convention in the Same Building

The venue event calendar carries a second booking across the same weekend. The Orthopaedic Research Society 2027 Annual Meeting runs 19 to 23 February 2027 in Moscone West. Two conventions drawing at once narrow the choice at the property level.

Building the Number

A club budgeting the trip starts with the $925 entry and adds the room block. A 12-player roster in four rooms across three nights is 12 room-nights. No nightly rate is published for the Golden Gate Classic block, so the rate is the planner's own figure. At a stated $250, the block is $3,000, and a 30% group discount brings it to $2,100.

bookmyteam.org ranks 562 San Francisco hotels and sends one request to competing properties, with responses in 24 to 72 hours. The platform publishes 50 or more hotels reached per request, group savings of 15-40% off rack rates and a $0 fee, quotes back in 24 to 72 hours, and most hotels offering group rates from 10 or more rooms per night, with some discounting from five rooms. Price a junior club on the group rate calculator, read the tournament route at /sports-team-hotel-booking, and file the block at /rfp/submit.
