A two-night festival with a 3 a.m. finish

Lights All Night runs Wednesday 30 December and Thursday 31 December 2026 at Fair Park in Dallas. The organiser publishes one clock for both nights. Parking lots open at 5:00 PM. The box office opens at 5:00 PM. Gates open at 6:00 PM. The event ends at 3:00 AM. This is the festival's 16th year. It runs multiple stages, and all main stages sit fully indoors in a climate-controlled building.

That finish time sets the crew plan. A crew clearing the site at 3:00 AM cannot leave a vehicle inside the park overnight.

What Fair Park publishes about vehicles

Fair Park lists over 14,000 parking spaces inside its 277 acres. The parking page states that no overnight parking is allowed, and that any vehicle left overnight is subject to towing at the owner's expense. The same page states that there is currently no designated parking area for large vehicles and sends that question to the event page or the park office at 214-670-8400.

The park FAQ directs visitors through Gates 5 or 6. DART's MLK, Jr. Station sits south of Robert B. Cullum Boulevard beside Gate 6. Rideshare pickup and drop-off is located at any gate entrance and may vary by event. No public Wi-Fi is available at Fair Park.

One published detail needs a question attached. The park FAQ lists hours of 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM against a festival that runs to 3:00 AM. Ask the organiser which document governs event-day access.

Four park rules that cost a build a day

The park guidelines prohibit staking into the ground, motorized vehicles in grassy areas, use of Fair Park electricity without permission, and commercial activity without permission. The same list bars camping and sleeping. The FAQ adds that no privately owned ATV or golf cart may be operated on the property.

A stage build that needs ground stakes, a generator or a golf cart for load-in meets all four. Each one needs written clearance from the organiser before the truck leaves the warehouse.

The gate search applies to crew

The organiser states that every attendee, including media and guests, is searched before entry. The search is TSA-style: pockets and bags emptied, a full pat-down, an examination of the items carried, and potential removal of shoes.

The prohibited list names walkie talkies, generators, tents, umbrellas, chairs, camping gear, outside food and beverages, coolers and glass, professional recording equipment, and vending without a permit. Re-entry is not allowed, so a crew member who steps outside stays outside for the night.

A radio kit or a power distribution rig does not pass that search. The organiser routes vending through a vendor inquiry form and states that it is not accepting staff applications for this event.

Stage the trailers off site

Two published statements answer the trailer question up to a point. The park states that it has no designated large-vehicle area and asks callers to ring 214-670-8400. The festival states that more parking information will be shared closer to the event. No trailer location, staging window or rate is published.

Plan on a private lot off the park, with gear moved in on a schedule the organiser approves. Anything left inside the park overnight is towed at the owner's cost, and the prohibited list bars using parking lots for activity outside parking.

Lodging inside three miles

Fair Park's Where to Stay page lists 17 properties inside 3 miles of the park. Driving routes measured on OpenStreetMap on 22 October 2026 from the park address at 3809 Grand Avenue put Element Dallas Downtown East at 4005 Gaston Avenue 1.88 miles and 6 minutes away. Home2 Suites at 3301 Gaston Avenue measures 1.83 miles and 6 minutes. Kimpton Pittman Hotel at 2551 Elm Street measures 2.00 miles and 6 minutes. Sheraton Dallas at 400 North Olive Street measures 2.46 miles and 7 minutes. Lorenzo Hotel at 1011 South Akard Street measures 2.51 miles and 6 minutes.

No rate appears on the park page or on the festival site. bookmyteam.org publishes a group band of 15 to 40 percent below rack rates and lists 790 hotels in Dallas.

Ground transport after the last train

DART's Green Line serves Fair Park Station on Parry Avenue and MLK, Jr. Station beside Gate 6. Read the last departure before the crew shift is set, and book a rideshare to a named gate.

Money for a crew of eight

Four double rooms over three nights is 12 room-nights. At an example $179 a night the rooms cost $2,148. The platform's 15 to 40 percent band puts those 12 room-nights between $1,289 at 40 percent off and $1,826 at 15 percent off. The $179 is a planning input, and the property confirms the contracted figure in writing.

Wristbands carry their own deadline. Orders placed by Wednesday 2 December ship by USPS First-Class Mail inside the United States. Later orders collect at an early off-site pickup or at the Fair Park box office, which runs 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM on both event days. The early pickup location is unpublished.

Four questions for the vendor inquiry

Ask for the load-in window for production and vendor crews. Ask where a trailer may stand and who authorises it. Ask how a crew kit that the public gate search bars enters the site. Ask for the event parking rate.

Send one rooming list with dates to each shortlisted property and request the rate, cut-off date and cancellation terms in writing. Submit the room block request to compare offers side by side, and check the Dallas directory for properties near the park.
