Portland in March, Halls C and D
The American Counseling Association holds its 2027 Annual Conference & Expo at the Oregon Convention Center from March 11 to 14.
The venue books the meeting into Halls C and D at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97232. The venue card and ACA's event page print the same four dates.
Registration opens Wednesday, March 10, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Pre-Function Lobby C. The opening keynote runs Thursday, March 11, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Exhibit Hall A1/B. Education sessions fill Friday and Saturday. The agenda at a glance closes on Saturday, March 13.
The price moves twice before the door
Full conference registration carries three price points. A member pays $410 on or before December 21, 2026, $525 from December 22, 2026 through March 8, 2027, and $630 from March 9, 2027.
Student, New Professional and Retired members pay $315, $400 and $475 across the same three windows. Non-members pay $675, $775 and $875. Student non-members pay $515, $600 and $675.
Three member registrations at the middle tier cost $1,575. The same three at the top tier cost $1,890. Three booked before December 21 cost $1,230.
One call, one card, one order
ACA takes group registrations by phone, through Member Services on 800-298-2276, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET.
Two terms govern the order. Every registration on the list must be processed and paid by credit card at the same time. Membership verification sets the fee for each delegate.
Have each delegate's membership number and category ready before the call. The card payment closes the whole party in one transaction.
Student non-members use the same line. ACA asks them for documented proof of current study on university letterhead, such as a transcript or an acceptance letter.
What the fee covers
Full registration includes all education sessions, poster sessions, general sessions and keynotes, the ACA Opening Night Reception, the Expo Hall, ACA and Division meetings and social events, and lunch on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13.
Learning Institutes sit outside the fee and run Thursday, March 11 from 8 a.m. to noon. A member pays $99, a student member $49, a non-member $199. Advance registration is required, each attendee may take one institute, and a completed institute earns 4 CE hours.
Three non-member institutes add $597 to the order. Three member institutes add $297.
Cancellations close March 4
ACA requires every cancellation and refund request by Thursday, March 4, 2027. The refund returns minus a $75 cancellation fee, or $50 for Student, New Professional and Retired categories. ACA grants no refund after March 4 and pays none for a no-show.
Three cancelled registrations filed before that date cost $225 in fees, or $150 across the reduced categories.
Guests and children in the expo hall
ACA admits no guests to the Conference & Expo. Every person attending pays the full registration fee.
Minor children may enter the Expo Hall with a parent or guardian. That adult signs a liability waiver at the registration desk, obtains a badge for the child, and stays with that child throughout. ACA provides no childcare.
Five contracted hotels and one booking route
ACA publishes five group rates and directs attendees to the reservation links on its own hotel page. Its notice states that ACA uses no housing bureau and no online hotel booking site for this event. The same notice warns that third-party offers can carry false reservations, added fees or lost deposits. Housing questions go to events@counseling.org.
The Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, 375 NE Holladay Street, is the headquarters hotel at $269 per night plus taxes and a $25 daily destination fee. Rooms are held until Monday, February 15, 2027.
The Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center, 1441 NE 2nd Avenue, is $230. The Courtyard by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center, 435 NE Wasco Street, is $259. The Hotel Eastlund, 1441 NE Grand Avenue, is $259. All three hold until February 15, 2027.

Arriving, parking and the transit pass
ACA puts PDX 11.5 miles from the convention center, a 15 to 20 minute drive. The MAX Red Line runs direct from the airport, and ACA times that trip at about 35 minutes.
Conference attendees collect a complimentary TriMet Hop pass from Travel Portland. The pass covers MAX, streetcar and bus for the conference. Before collection, the TriMet fare table lists $2.80 for a 2-hour ticket and $5.60 for a 24-hour ticket.
The venue garage holds 800 spaces. Standard entry is $15 for up to 18 hours without in-and-out privilege, and the venue charges a dynamic $15 to $25 at entry during events. The garage opens at 6 a.m. P1 clears 7 feet and P2 clears 9 feet. Three event days cost $45 to $75 a vehicle.
What to send Member Services
Send the roster with each delegate's name, membership category, membership number and institute choice, plus the name of the cardholder paying for the party. Ask for one confirmation covering the whole order, and check the tier date printed on it against the day of the call.
Room requests for a Portland block go to bookMyTeam's RFP form, where hotels bid on one request. The platform publishes 15 to 40 percent below rack rates, 50 or more hotels per destination, and 103,857 hotels across 46 states. The Portland directory lists 278 hotels.
