One deadline carries two jobs
The 2027 ASCO Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium runs January 21 to 23, 2027 at Moscone West in San Francisco. ASCO puts one date in front of a team planner that governs both the registration invoice and the room block. That date is Wednesday, December 2, 2026.
ASCO states the pairing on its registration and hotel pages. Early registration closes at 11:59 PM ET on December 2, 2026. The hotel reservation deadline runs on the same clock. Reservations that arrive after it are processed on a space-available basis and may be subject to higher rates.
The fee ladder for a clinical team
An in-person registration for a member physician or scientist costs $975 on or before December 2, 2026. The same registration costs $1,125 between December 3, 2026 and January 8, 2027. From January 9, 2027 it costs $1,200.
In-training members pay $290, then $440, then $515 across the three windows. A nonmember physician pays $1,495, $1,645 and $1,720. A nonmember in training pays $375, $525 and $600.
Run a nine-person oncology team through the ladder. Five member physicians, three in-training members and one affiliated health professional cost $6,290 in the early window. From January 9 the same nine cost $8,315. The early tier holds $2,025 on registration alone.
Where a group block has to go
ASCO publishes one rule that closes the ordinary routes. Group hotel room blocks are secured through the Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium Customer Service Center. SPARGO, Inc. is the only official registration and housing provider for ASCO Meetings and Symposia.
The Customer Service Center sits at 11208 Waples Mill Road, Suite 112, Fairfax, VA 22030. The US line is 888-788-1522 and the housing system lists +1-571-549-4515 for callers outside the US. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM ET, closed on weekends and US holidays. Registration email is giregistration@spargoinc.com and hotel email is gihousing@spargoinc.com.
ASCO warns that companies unaffiliated with ASCO or SPARGO approach attendees with room offers and attendee lists. Its instruction is to register and reserve hotels only through its own site.
What the group pages leave open
The published pages carry no nightly rate by room type, no room count, no block cut-off date and no attrition or release term. Those four items sit in the group agreement.
The four questions for the rate request
Put four questions to the Customer Service Center before a request goes out. Ask for the nightly rate by room type, the number of rooms held, the date the block closes, and the release clause for unused rooms.
A bookmyteam.org request carries the block in one submission. The platform publishes a 15% to 40% group savings band, 103,857+ hotels across 46 states, responses inside 24 to 72 hours and no added commission on the booking rate. Pair the block with the December 2 registration deadline, and both lines of the trip land before the first price step.
