Three days, and the Saturday that keeps Monday clinics staffed

The ASHA Convention 2026 runs Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 November at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225. The venue publishes a forecast attendance of 13,500. ASHA states the meeting brings together approximately 15,000 attendees and offers more than 2,500 sessions eligible for ASHA continuing education credit.

Saturday sets the return. Education sessions run 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Exhibit Hall is open 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and registration is staffed 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A Saturday evening flight home returns the party that night, leaves Sunday clear and keeps Monday clinics staffed.

The group route, and the eighth place

One member of the group registers first. At the review and check out page that person uses the add group registrant control for each colleague. Each colleague needs an ASHA account, which is free to create.

Seven or more attendees from the same workplace receive the eighth registration free. The discount applies to ASHA members, ASHA Affiliates and NSSLHA members. It applies to full in-person registration only. It excludes one-day registration, virtual-only registration, pre-convention workshops, short courses and special event tickets. Payment must be made in one transaction by cheque or credit card, and the discount is applied to the lesser registration fee.

Registration questions go to the ASHA Registration and Housing Center at ASHA@maritz.com or 864-541-0744, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern.

The fee ladder, and the cost of a late approval

ASHA prices registration in four windows. A member pays $419 for early bird, $469 for advance, $519 for regular and $569 on site. A non-member pays $609, $659, $709 and $759. Early bird ran 3 to 31 August. Advance runs 1 to 30 September. Regular runs 1 to 31 October. On-site rates apply from 1 November. Assistant, new professional, clinical fellow and graduate student categories carry their own rates.

For eight members, the group route at the advance tier is $3,283 against $3,752 for eight individual registrations. The same eight at the on-site tier cost $4,552 before the free place is applied.

One rooming list, built before the request

The programme sets the room nights. Wednesday 18 November carries registration from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and state association pre-convention workshops from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday are full programme days. Saturday closes at 4 p.m. The stay is the nights of Wednesday 18, Thursday 19 and Friday 20 November, with checkout on Saturday 21.

Eight clinicians in four doubles across three nights produce 12 room-nights, or 1.5 per person. The same eight in singles produce 24 room-nights.

The published rates, and the route that unlocks them

ASHA publishes a hotel rate sheet dated as of 10 September 2026. Rates are per night, exclude taxes, include complimentary basic internet, and are available only through ASHA's hotel reservation service. Four doubles across three nights at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis on One South Capitol Avenue come to $2,988 at the double/double rate of $249. The same configuration at the Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown on 515 S. West Street is $2,028 at $169. Published double/double lines also include Aloft Indianapolis at $189 and the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown at $278.

Maritz Global Events is the only official housing company for the Convention. Reach it at ASHAHotel@maritz.com or 864-208-2571. Booking through Maritz carries no change fees and no prepayment, and ASHA publishes a warning about unauthorized housing companies. Complimentary shuttle service runs 19 to 21 November for hotels outside walking distance, with ADA-accessible service from 18 November. Allow 45 minutes from call to pickup. ASHA does not provide airport ground transportation.

Late employer approvals

ASHA publishes a 2026 Attendee ROI Toolkit for this conversation. It carries a Convention Attendance Worksheet. Its Sample Expense Worksheet lists registration, optional pre-convention workshop and short course tickets, the ASHFoundation Fundraiser Reception, the ASHA-PAC Reception, flight or train, hotel expenses and transportation.

The toolkit's guidance is specific. Concentrate on the contributions the clinician brings back: the knowledge they need, the resources they can investigate, and what peers in similar settings do about a shared problem. Prepare a plan that shows who covers their duties while they attend. Offer a short presentation and question session afterwards so colleagues benefit. If the clinician maintains certification, note that attendance earns continuing education units. A clinic sending several people can frame the group saving and the shared room block as the cost argument, with the free eighth place as the return.

Cancellation, badges and the numbers to hold

Registration and hotel cancellation are separate. ASHA states it cannot waive a hotel penalty. Cancel a hotel reservation no later than 72 hours before arrival. Cancellation inside three days, or a no-show, triggers a one-night room and tax charge from the property. Badges print on site this year only, at self-service stations, so arrive with time to print.

For eight members on the advance tier using the group route and four doubles at $249, registration and rooms together come to $6,271, or $783.88 each, before taxes and travel. Continuing education must be reported by 1 December 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern to earn credit and receive a certificate.

Send the room request through the group request form, size it with the group rate calculator, and read how the platform works first. Most hotels offer group rates from 10 rooms per night, and some discount from five rooms depending on season and availability. Downtown supply sits on the Indianapolis hotel directory. Indianapolis also hosts the Monumental Health and Fitness Expo on 6 November, forecast 20,000, and the Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference from 8 to 10 November, so the November room market tightens before the Convention opens.
