Two Programs in One Hall

Bricks Cascade runs two programs at the Oregon Convention Center. The public exposition opens Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February 2027 in Halls A-A1. The private AFOL convention runs 25 to 28 February 2027 in the same halls.

25 February 2027 is a Thursday. A team outing books the Saturday. The Thursday and Friday belong to registered builders.

The organizer prints no public hours. Its guide says the public gets "a few hours each day", so confirm the doors and the close with the organizer before a coach sets a departure.

The Gate and the Ticket Route

The venue marks Bricks Cascade as a public event with tickets required. Public tickets sell through the convention center's eVenue store under the code OBRICKS.

Anyone in the hall during non-public hours must be at least 10 years old. That rule decides which staff and family members can enter the hall on the private days.

The AFOL ladder applies to staff who build. Early bird runs 13 to 30 September at $90. Regular runs 1 October to 31 January at $105. Late registration runs from 1 February at $125. A Display Only pass costs $50 and excludes prizes and games.

A Three-Event Saturday

Three bookings run on Saturday 27 February. Pac West Cheer and Dance Nationals holds Halls D-E. In10sity Dance Competition holds the Oregon Ballroom. Bricks Cascade holds Halls A-A1. The venue's February 2027 calendar lists all three.

The garage holds 800 spaces and sells them first come, first served. Venue copy states that it can reach capacity on busy event days. It generally opens at 6:00 AM and prohibits overnight parking.

Cards Only, With One Cash Route

Oregon Convention Center operations run cashless. Counters take credit and debit cards and touchless payment. The drive-through parking booths take cards only.

A cash-only guest has two routes. A reverse ATM sits down the short hallway left of the welcome desk in the MLK Lobby. It loads $1 to $500 onto a prepaid Visa with no fee, takes no personal information and cannot be reloaded. A driver holding cash takes the garage ticket to a self-pay kiosk indoors.

Exhibitors and event vendors may still take cash at their tables.

Parking and Transit Arithmetic

Standard entry is $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privilege. Event days carry a dynamic rate of $15 to $25 at the gate. Clearance is 7 feet on P1 and 9 feet on P2. The garage turns away RVs, campers and trucks with trailers.

Ten people in three cars cost $45 at the standard rate and up to $75 at the event rate.

MAX stops 300 times a day at the front door. The Streetcar A Loop arrives every 15 minutes, and bus line 6 stops at NE MLK and Holladay. The adult fare is $2.80 for two and a half hours. The day cap is $5.60, and the fare covers Portland Streetcar at no extra charge. Ten adults reach $56 at the day cap. Portland International Airport sits eight miles away.

One Night, or None

A Saturday-only outing needs no room night. A team that stays over books the Saturday night, and any minimum-stay term sits in the hotel's bid. Ask for it in writing.

bookMyTeam lists 278 hotels in Portland, publishes a 15-40% band below rack rates, charges no fee to the buyer, and reports responses in 24 to 72 hours.

Send the request through the RFP form. Check the arithmetic on the group rate calculator. The Portland directory lists the supply.

Set the day first. Saturday 27 February keeps the outing to one day and one gate.
