Circle of Stars 2027 takes the last weekend of January
The 35th annual DeVeau's Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational runs Friday 29 January through Sunday 31 January 2027 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis. The venue places the meet in Exhibit Hall I-K and forecasts 5,000 attendees. DeVeau's Gymnastics Booster Club hosts the competition. The organiser names three women's gyms and one men's gym running AAI equipment.
Registration runs through USA Gymnastics in three steps
circleofstars.org sets out a three-step registration. Register through USA Gymnastics, tabulate the total with the organiser's payment worksheet, then submit payment online. eChecks carry no fee. A registration is not complete until payment arrives, and unpaid spots are at risk of release to the wait list.
Gymnast fees are set by level. Women's Artistic levels 2 through 5 pay $155 and levels 6 through 10 pay $175. Xcel Bronze, Silver and Gold pay $155; Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire pay $175. Men's Artistic levels 3 through 5 pay $155 and levels 6 through 10 pay $175. Every team pays a $55 team fee.
Two dates set the booking clock
The organiser publishes a scratches and refund deadline of 16 November 2026. The level change deadline is 14 December 2026, and a change depends on space being available at the new level.
Both dates sit more than two months ahead of the meet. A club that reserves 15 rooms and then loses four gymnasts to injury carries the refund decision in November, and the rooms stay booked either way. Take the rooming list to the coaching staff before the November date.
Keeping one club inside one property
A gymnastics club arrives as one unit. Coaches, gymnasts and parents travel on the same schedule. Families who book their own rooms split the club across two hotels and double the explanation for a 6 a.m. warm-up.
bookMyTeam.org publishes group rates at blocks of 10 or more rooms per night. /how-it-works adds the second half of that rule, with some hotels discounting for as few as five rooms per night depending on season and availability. A 24-gymnast club with coaches clears the five-room floor comfortably.
Room nights for a club of 24
Twenty-four gymnasts and coaches at double occupancy need 12 rooms. Three nights from Thursday 28 January give 36 room-nights. Two nights from Friday 29 January give 24. At a $200 example rate the three-night version runs $7,200 before any group discount, and the two-night version runs $4,800. Fifteen percent off puts the three-night figure at $6,120. Forty percent off puts it at $4,320. Every one of those figures is the planner's own example, because no property on the organiser's list publishes a rate.
Three official hotels, no published rate
circleofstars.org links dedicated booking pages for Hyatt Place at 130 South Pennsylvania Street, Embassy Suites at 110 West Washington Street, and Crowne Plaza at 123 West Louisiana Street. The Hyatt Place link carries group code G-CC27 and the Crowne Plaza link C7Q. None of the three publishes a nightly rate on the booking route. The Convention Center connects to numerous downtown hotels through skywalks.
The same weekend carries three other events
The venue's own event feed lists three other gatherings across the Circle of Stars dates. RxHealing holds a sales convention for a forecast 2,000 from 29 to 31 January. The Indianapolis Royal Weekend forecasts 1,250 on 31 January. The Dot Foods National Business Meeting forecasts 2,000 from 27 to 29 January, so its closing day lands on the Friday.
Friday 29 January therefore carries three concurrent events and 9,000 forecast attendees. Saturday 30 January carries two and 7,000. Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms, and 4,700 of them connect to the Convention Center by skywalk. bookMyTeam's response window runs 24 to 72 hours, so a rate request placed now has the whole property list to work with.
What to put in the rate request
Send the level roster, the arrival and departure nights, and the bed configuration mix. Ask for the cut-off date and the attrition clause on the same page. Both are standard in a property contract, and both decide what the club owes if numbers move after the November refund date. bookMyTeam.org charges no planner fee, contacts 50 or more hotels per destination, and publishes a saving band of 15 to 40 percent below best available rate. Send the request at /rfp/submit, and model the block first at /group-rate-calculator.
