Ride share, garages and 511: moving a team into the Grove

An eight-hour window on the waterfront

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival runs its 63rd edition over Presidents Day weekend, February 13, 14 and 15, 2027. Saturday and Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The grounds sit at 2700 S. Bayshore Drive, Miami, FL 33133, along McFarlane Road, South Bayshore Drive and Pan American Drive.

Eight hours on Saturday or Sunday. Seven on Monday. Every vehicle movement lands outside those hours or the team stands in a queue while the rest of the party waits.

The organiser's Our Story page describes the festival as one of the largest outdoor arts festivals in the nation and reports tens of thousands of visitors each Presidents Day weekend. The show is juried, and the association does not accept craft vendors.

Routing: 836 West, then 27th Avenue south

The festival's own driving directions carry the detail that matters. Watch I-95 southbound at Exit 1A, the Rickenbacker Causeway exit. A coach coming down I-95 follows US-1 to 27th Avenue. The organiser's recommended route is 836 West, then 27th Avenue south to the festival.

The organiser also points drivers at the 511 Traveler Information Service. Call 511 for traffic updates on the morning of the event. Put that number in the driver's pack beside the street address.

OpenStreetMap routing puts Miami International Airport at 2100 NW 42nd Avenue about 11 km and 15 minutes from the Bayshore Drive address in free-flowing traffic. That figure carries no festival adjustment. Treat it as a floor.

Parking: three categories, no published rate

The organiser lists parking garages, on-street meters and private parking lots in Coconut Grove and calls the supply plenty. It publishes no rate for any of the three and no in-and-out terms. A team that wants the vehicle as a base for six hours confirms re-entry with the garage operator before the coach leaves the depot.

The ride-share drop

Ride share is the organiser's own suggested arrival method. Set the destination in the app to "Coconut Grove Arts Festival" and the driver goes to the festival itself. That makes the drop point the meet point. Name a time and a corner, send the team in two or three cars, and leave one person at the drop for the later arrivals.

What stays in the vehicle

The FAQ bars chairs of any kind: personal chairs, camping chairs, folding chairs. It bars wagons of any kind, with one exception for a wagon used as a stroller with a child. Tents, large umbrellas and shade structures are out. The folding chairs, the banner frame and the water cooler stay in the vehicle.

Bags are capped at 12 by 12 inches. Outside food, liquor and beverages are barred, with an exception for a documented food allergy or religious reasons. Glass containers and cans are barred. Pets are barred, service animals excepted. Weapons, skateboards, bicycles, scooters and drones are barred.

A kit that cannot enter the site and cannot be reached mid-day forces one decision before departure. Either the kit is small enough to carry all day, or the day splits into two sessions and the vehicle moves between them.

A same-day timetable

One workable shape for Saturday. Coach at the Grove kerbside by 9:15 a.m. Unload the personal kit. Driver parks. Team on the grounds at 9:55 a.m. Work the show until 1 p.m. Break outside the gate for food, because outside food is barred and the organiser has published no 2027 food vendor list. Back on the grounds at 1:45 p.m. Regroup at the drop point at 5:45 p.m. Load by 6:15 p.m.

Monday closes an hour earlier, at 5 p.m. Shift the same plan forward by one hour and confirm the coach is clear of the Grove before the evening peak.

Rooms, if the team stays the night

A same-day turn books zero room nights, so the group-rate route never opens. bookMyTeam defines a group rate as a negotiated block of 10 or more rooms per night. Its how-it-works page adds that some hotels discount from five rooms depending on season and availability. A party that flies in Friday and works Saturday sits inside that threshold.

GMCVB's research division publishes STR's August 2026 Miami-Dade report. The Coconut Grove/Key Biscayne row reads $393.36 average daily rate year to date at 67.0 percent occupancy, and $245.09 for August alone at 55.9 percent. Ten rooms for one night at the year-to-date figure come to $3,933.60. Ten rooms for two nights come to $7,867.20. February sits outside that report's window, so read the figure as a year-to-date benchmark through August.

bookMyTeam cannot process a Florida request yet. Its seller-of-travel page, last updated October 18, 2026, states that the platform cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida until its Florida Seller of Travel registration is obtained. The page names Hawaii, Iowa and Washington on the same list, cites Chapter 559 of the Florida Statutes, and routes questions to compliance@hotelhuddle.com.

A Coconut Grove block goes to the property directly until that registration appears. Size the block with the group rate calculator, then send the request to each hotel and get the cancellation deadline in writing.

Questions the organiser has to answer

The FAQ carries no gate price for 2027. Ticketing questions go to Support@CGAF.com or (877) 253-8717. Accessibility requests need 72 hours' notice at (305) 447-0401 or info@cgaf.com. Garage rates, in-and-out terms and coach parking sit with the operator. The organiser publishes none of the three.
