Ignite 2026 Runs November 17-20 at Moscone Center

Microsoft Ignite takes place November 17-20, 2026 in San Francisco at the Moscone Center, with an optional pre-day on November 16. The online event runs November 17-19. Microsoft publishes the dates, the venue and the pass ladder on its own site.

The published scale is 20,000-plus in-person attendees, 200,000-plus digital attendees, 2,100-plus speakers and 830-plus sessions. The programme uses keynotes, breakouts, innovation sessions, labs, theater sessions, lightning talks and table talks.

Three Published Prices Set the Registration Line

A Conference pass costs $2,325. It covers the in-person experiences across the Moscone Center campus, full access to the digital venue, and lunches, snacks and beverages. A Hub-only pass costs $1,625 and covers the Hub experiences, including booths, theater sessions and lunch service, across November 17-19. The Digital pass is free.

The pre-day pass is a $325 add-on to a Conference pass. Microsoft states that the option to add a Pre-Day Pass will be available closer to the event.

Four Conference passes come to $9,300. Four pre-day add-ons take the registration line to $10,600. The Hub-only pass carries no published pre-day option, and the $700 per-seat difference holds $2,800 across four seats.

Microsoft answers the bundle question in five words: "No, bundle pricing offers are not available." Attendees register individually, and individual registration is what gives each attendee access to their registration and online experiences.

Four Dates Decide What the Trip Costs

In-person registration closes at 5:00 p.m. Pacific on Friday, November 13, 2026.

Room requests close first. Hotel reservations secured through the Ignite registration page must be booked by 3:00 p.m. Pacific on Friday, October 16, 2026, and Microsoft describes availability as limited.

Cancellation closes on the same October day. Cancellation requests must be received by Friday, October 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific, and Conference or Hub-only passes cancelled on or before that date are refundable minus a $200 processing fee. Four cancelled passes carry $800 in fees.

Transfers run to the November date. A registration may move to another attendee when the original registrant initiates the request and completes it by 5:00 p.m. Pacific on Friday, November 13, 2026, through the Microsoft support team at ignite@microsoft.regsvc.com.

Four Nights with the Pre-Day, Three Without

The published agenda sets the room nights.

Badge pick-up and the pre-day sessions and labs sit on Monday, November 16, and the day runs into the afternoon.

Tuesday, November 17 carries breakfast, the opening keynote, the Hub opening and a welcome reception that evening. Wednesday and Thursday hold sessions, labs, certifications, the Hub and a celebration. Friday, November 20 holds the closing sessions in a morning block.

A team that buys the pre-day checks in on November 16 and checks out on November 20: four nights. A team that skips it checks in on November 17 and checks out on November 20: three nights.

The opening keynote takes place at Chase Center. Microsoft runs shuttles from the Moscone campus and asks attendees to allow extra time before the keynote begins.

Rooms: the Advantage Block and the Request Route

The FAQ ties a dedicated hotel block to an Advantage pass and names four properties: Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa, Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SoMa, Palace Hotel and San Francisco Marriott Marquis. Microsoft limits hotel booking to those four properties and states that reservations are available while inventory lasts. The pass list shows a Conference pass, a Hub-only pass and a free Digital pass. Microsoft publishes no Advantage pass price and no nightly rate.

bookMyTeam negotiates group rates for a block of 10 or more rooms per night and publishes a typical saving of 15 to 40 percent below the Best Available Rate, with no fees and payment direct to the hotel. The platform also states that some hotels may discount for as few as 5 rooms depending on season and availability. A four-person team sits below the block route, so the request goes to the hotel desk through the RFP form and comes back as a rate for the dates you name.

Send the Travelling Few, and the Rest Online

The free Digital pass covers keynotes, livestreamed sessions and on-demand recordings. Most sessions are recorded and posted within 24 to 48 hours, and sessions marked "In San Francisco Only" are the exception. A team can send two or three people to San Francisco for the labs and the expert meetups, and put the rest of the department on the digital venue at no cost.

Check the San Francisco directory for properties near the Moscone Center, or run the numbers first through the group rate calculator.
