One Friday, Two Workshop Stages

DIY CON runs November 6 to 8, 2026 at Fair Park in Dallas, with doors at 10:00 a.m. and the floor closing at 6:00 p.m. each day. A corporate team can cover the show in one Friday. The worktables carry a reservation rule that decides who travels and how the day is staffed.

The Published Show Details

RX produces the show, and it runs in Centennial Hall. The organiser prints the venue as Fair Park Dallas, 1001 Washington St, Dallas, TX 75210. Fair Park's own visitor pages print 3809 Grand Avenue, Dallas, TX 75210. Both postcodes match.

The programme carries creators, tool brands and two workshop stages across the weekend. Friday holds Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt with Ty Pennington on the main stage, and Mr. Kate. Saturday holds the Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott. Sunday closes with Chelsea and Cole DeBoer.

Four Rules at the Worktable

Workshops are free with a DIY CON badge. Space at the worktables is limited, so participation requires a reservation made in advance. Reservations opened Friday, October 16 at 12:00 p.m. CT.

The badge must be valid for the same day as the workshop. A Friday badge covers Friday workshops. A workshop reservation does not include admission, so each participant needs both items.

Every participant must be 18 or older. Each participant completes a waiver during the reservation process. Tools, equipment and materials are provided unless an individual workshop description says otherwise.

One person may hold up to three workshop reservations across the weekend, with no overlapping times. Two stages run throughout, so stage, date and time matter at booking. A very limited standby line may open onsite, and standby participation carries no guarantee.

Watching Needs No Reservation

Seating at either workshop stage is open to badge holders who line up onsite, first come, first served. A team member under 18 can watch any workshop and cannot take a worktable seat. Send the under-18 members to the stage and the people who will run the equipment to the worktable.

Tickets and Pickup Windows

A single-day adult ticket starts at $47.63 with taxes and fees. Kids tickets cover ages 6 to 12 at a reduced rate, and children 5 and under enter free with a paying adult. The ticket FAQ dates early-bird pricing to October 23 with a saving of up to $24. The tickets page carries a second offer: 50 percent off single-day adult, 3-day and kids tickets with code DIY50 through Sunday, October 25 at 11:59 PM CT. Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-resalable, and activation is required for every 2026 badge.

Badge pickup runs at Will Call in the Centennial Building and at the Fair Park front entrance. Thursday, November 5 runs 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Centennial Building only. Friday and Saturday run 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday runs 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

A team arriving Friday collects badges at the front entrance from 8:00 a.m. That leaves two hours before the floor opens and time to walk the hall before the first workshop.

Housing After the Deadline

DIY CON housing runs through Connections Housing. The page lists a reservation deadline of Sunday, October 11. That date has passed, so a team booking this week works with the housing desk on 702-720-1424 and asks what remains in the block.

The organiser states that official hotels will not honor direct reservations, and that the group rates apply only through the housing company. A room block request covers 10 or more rooms and goes through the show's own request form. No advance deposit is charged, and no contract is required for a group booking.

Below that threshold, bookMyTeam lists 790 hotels in Dallas and takes a request to 50 or more properties, with offers back in 24 to 72 hours. bookMyTeam's FAQ states that most hotels offer group rates for 10 or more rooms a night, with some discounting from five rooms.

Arrival and Parking at Fair Park

Fair Park holds over 14,000 parking spaces inside the grounds, plus lots and street parking outside. Rates vary by event, and the event page carries the figure. Fair Park allows no overnight parking, and a vehicle left overnight is subject to towing at the owner's expense.

The park publishes no designated area for buses, RVs or trucks and routes large-vehicle questions to (214) 670-8400. A team moving by coach confirms the drop point and the coach parking plan with the park before the trip.

Two DART stations sit at the park entrances, one on Parry Avenue and one on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Rideshare pickup and drop-off runs at any gate entrance.

A Friday That Holds

Reserve the workshops first, then buy badges for the same date. Six colleagues at one worktable need a Friday badge, a reservation and a completed waiver each, and all three items are finished before the team leaves.

The day carries two fixed points: badge pickup at 8:00 a.m. and doors at 10:00 a.m. A workshop reservation names a stage and a time, so the team splits between the worktable and the stage seating and regroups on the hall floor.

Book one night for a Dallas-based team and two for a team flying in on Thursday. Put six questions in the room request: nightly rate, cut-off date, minimum stay, breakfast, parking charge and cancellation terms. The platform mechanics and the request form cover the filing.

One date governs the budget. The DIY50 code closes Sunday, October 25 at 11:59 PM CT.
