One overnight, two show days
The Florida Gun Show Tampa runs December 5 and 6, 2026 in Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Saturday runs 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday runs 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Admission is $15, and every ticket sells at the show. The event page states that tickets are not sold before the show date. Law enforcement officers in uniform enter free. NRA members, veterans and military get $1 off with proof of ID at the ticket booth.
Twelve people pay $180 at the door. Three online parking passes add $30 to the day.
87,000 square feet under 45-foot ceilings
Expo Hall carries 87,000+ square feet of exhibit space. The venue page lists 45-foot ceilings, drive-through doors for load-in and load-out, eight flexible meeting rooms and two show offices.
The building also carries complimentary wifi and utilities accessible through the floor and wall. The restrooms include family restrooms.
Expo Hall joins the adjacent Entertainment Hall for a combined 138,000 square feet. The second hall matters for a crew that moves cases on carts between a vehicle and a table.
Gate 1 off US Highway 301
The event page names US Hwy 301 as the entry point. The venue gate table puts Expo Hall at the US Hwy 301 Entrance, Gate 1. The parking product for the weekend repeats the instruction.
The street address is 4800 U.S. Hwy 301 N, Tampa, FL 33610. The hall sits inside the grounds, so the gate decides the drive.
Parking at $10 online
Parking costs $10 online and $12 onsite. The venue sells the pass on its own parking portal under the product name Gun Show - December 2026 for December 5 and 6.
Each pass covers one entry. The portal prints Good For One Time Entry. A vehicle that leaves the grounds and returns needs a second pass. Three vehicles for a twelve-person crew means three passes.
The door rules set the arrival window
The organiser publishes its entry rules on the event page. Every firearm comes in unloaded. Magazines and clips come out of the gun and stay empty. Loose ammunition stays home or in the vehicle.
A security officer inspects each firearm at the entrance and fits a plastic tie strap. The strap stays on for the length of the show, and the rule covers concealed weapon permit holders. The organiser runs a zero-tolerance policy and ejects anyone who breaks it.
Any team member who carries a trade item through that door walks the inspection line. Build the extra time into the arrival window and send the crew through one gate as a group.
Sunday gives a seven-hour floor
Sunday opens at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m. A crew that drives in Saturday afternoon gets one night on the ground and a full Sunday before the drive home.
Saturday runs eight hours. A crew that arrives Friday night gets both days and a shorter Sunday.
The Fairgrounds takes event camping on the grounds for every event except the annual Florida State Fair. Its reservation form prices a non-fair nightly site at $60.00, paid in full at reservation, on a 30 or 50 amp plug. Reservations need 48 hours of notice.
The room side has no published rate
The Fairgrounds lists seven hotel partners on its trip planning page. Every entry carries a distance figure and no rate, no cut-off date and no booking code.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino sits 0.2 miles out. Wyndham Garden Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino sits 1.5 miles out. Staybridge Suites Tampa East-Brandon sits 2.7 miles out. Hilton Garden Inn Tampa East Brandon sits 2.8 miles out. Courtyard Tampa Brandon sits 4.4 miles out. Cambria Hotel Tampa-Brandon sits 5 miles out, and Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa East sits 5.0 miles out.
Two descriptions disagree with their own distance fields. The Hilton Garden Inn copy says less than 2 miles against a 2.8-mile field. The Wyndham Garden copy says one mile against a 1.5-mile field.
A one-night run for twelve people needs twelve rooms on a Saturday in December. Put the dates and the room count to each property's sales office and ask for a rate, a cut-off date and the minimum stay in writing. The venue publishes no block to join.
Florida sits outside the booking platform
The bookMyTeam seller-of-travel notice, last updated October 21, 2026, states that the platform cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida. The notice cites Chapter 559, Florida Statutes, and lists Florida beside Hawaii, Iowa and Washington.
The same page states that visitors from those states are redirected to the notice from all hotelhuddle domains. A Tampa reader who clicks through to the request form lands on that page instead. Send the room enquiry to the property and keep the written quote on file.
The notice carries a compliance contact at compliance@hotelhuddle.com for questions about the restriction.
Three events on December 6
The Tampa Sports Collectors Expo runs in the Special Events Center and Showcase of Champions takes the Entertainment Hall on the same day. The parking portal sells a single-day pass for each.
Three events use two entry points that Sunday: US Hwy 301 and MLK Jr Blvd. Parking demand rises, so buy the pass online and keep one vehicle per team.
