FAN EXPO Portland 2027 runs Friday 29 January to Sunday 31 January in Halls A-A1-B-C at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97232. The venue publishes the show clock. Friday runs 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A three-person team needs one booth, two hotel nights and three days of garage parking. The total lands near $1,520 before power.

Two booth tiers

The retailer rate sits on the organiser's Retailers page. One or two booths cost $1,056.00 each. Three or more cost $931.00 each. A corner location adds $150.00 per booth.

A booth is a 10 foot by 10 foot space. The fee covers one 8 foot table without a skirt, two chairs, and two exhibitor passes. Show management approves each application. Payment goes in with the application, and the organiser states that participation is not guaranteed until an acceptance email lands.

The corner add-on carries conditions. Single corner booths are available only to exhibitors buying two or more. The show reserves two corners for orders of three or more booths and guarantees them only at four or more. A team that buys one booth cannot add a corner at the published price.

A three-person team buys a third badge

Two passes come with the booth. The third person needs a badge, and the Exhibitor Order Forms page publishes the price. Extra badges cost $60.00 each for the first two, then $70.00 each beyond the first two. The organiser sells them in advance or at the desk. All three collect their passes from the Exhibitor Services Desk, and the location of that desk arrives in the information packet.

One booth and one third badge come to $1,116.00. Divided three ways, that is $372.00 a person before anybody sleeps anywhere.

Two nights at the Hyatt Regency

The organiser's Travel and Hotels page carries one property. The Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center sits at 375 NE Holladay Street, Portland, OR 97232, and publishes a rate starting at $154.00 a night. The page gives 0.2 miles to the hall, a 9.2 out of 10 guest rating, the booking group name G-FAN4, and the hotel line 1-971-754-6184.

Friday and Saturday nights at $154.00 come to $308.00 for one room. Portland's occupancy tax sits outside that figure. Kumoricon's Portland hotel page prints the city rate at 16.5 per cent and marks it subject to change. Applied to $308.00, the tax adds $50.82 and takes two nights to $358.82.

The block carries one condition. Availability is limited, and the page tells readers to book before the rooms sell out. Two rooms, one for each pair of staff, doubles the line to $717.64 with tax. The group rate calculator takes a room count and returns the rate a competing block has to beat.

Three show days of parking

The OCC garage opens at 6:00 a.m. and holds 800 spaces. Standard entry is $15.00 up to 18 hours, with no in-and-out privileges. During larger events the venue charges a dynamic $15.00 to $25.00 at the entry gate. FAN EXPO draws tens of thousands of fans, so budget the dynamic rate.

Three days of entry costs $45.00 at the floor and $75.00 at the ceiling for one vehicle. Two vehicles double both figures. The garage bans overnight parking and turns away RVs, campers, and trucks with trailers. The P1 level clears 7 feet and the P2 level clears 9 feet. Parking booths take cards and contactless payment only, and the building runs cashless throughout.

The running total

One booth, one third badge, one room for two nights, and one vehicle parked across three show days comes to $1,519.82 at the $15.00 parking rate. At the $25.00 rate it comes to $1,549.82. Per person, that is $506.61 to $516.61.

Strip the tax and the same party costs $1,469.00 to $1,499.00, or $489.67 to $499.67 a head. A team that takes three booths for a 10 by 30 run pays $2,793.00, or $3,093.00 with two corners, and holds six exhibitor passes against three staff.

What the booth price leaves out

Power, internet, shipping, and decorator services sit outside the booth fee. The organiser states that exhibitors arrange those with the venue or the show decorator at their own expense. The order forms page names a separate OCC electrical form and a separate OCC internet form. Neither publishes a price, so both become line items once the venue quotes them.

Refunds do not exist. All exhibitor and Artist Alley payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. An application that show management rejects is the one route back to the money.

The I-5 lot sits under construction and will not open for this show. The garage above is the parking line for the three days.

Rooms through the platform

Two rooms for two nights sits below the 10-room level that bookMyTeam's own page names for group rates. That page adds that some hotels discount from five rooms, subject to season and availability. A request for proposal sends the dates to more than 50 hotels in Portland, and hotels answer in 24 to 72 hours. Submitting an RFP is free, and bookMyTeam states that the hotel rate is never marked up. The Portland directory lists the properties around the convention center, and the team booking page shows how a team request is built.
