A nine-day show, 80 public hours
The Indiana Flower + Patio Show runs March 13 to 21, 2027 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Event Center, across two buildings, Expo Hall and West Pavilion, at 1202 East 38th Street, Indianapolis. Nine consecutive show days, Saturday through Sunday.
The published hours are Saturday 13 March 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday 14 March 10 to 5; Monday 15 through Thursday 18 March 10 to 7; Friday 19 March 10 to 8; Saturday 20 March 10 to 8; Sunday 21 March 10 to 5. Three days run ten hours, four run nine and both Sundays run seven, for 80 public hours across the nine days.
What the stand costs before the crew leaves
Space is sold at three sizes: 10x10 at $2,499, 10x20 at $4,998 and 20x20 at $7,756. Three line items are required on every contract: an exhibitor listing at $199 for all exhibitors, a 1-500 watt electrical outlet at $25, and a new-exhibitor marketing package at $100 for first-timers. Corner units carry $250 per corner, and a direct-sell fee of $250 per 10x10 applies to exhibitors selling from the stand.
Stack the required lines and the entry points are $2,723 for a returning 10x10, $2,823 for a first-time 10x10 and $3,073 with one corner. A 10x20 comes to $5,222 returning, $5,322 first-time and $5,572 with a corner. A 20x20 comes to $7,980 returning, $8,080 first-time and $8,330 with a corner.
Flooring is required in every booth. Fern Expo is the show decorator. Exhibitors may supply their own tables and chairs or rent from Fern, and Fern offers an advance purchase discount.
No room block is published for this show
The show names two hotels and publishes no rate for either: Hampton Inn NE Castleton Indianapolis at 6817 East 82nd Street, and Candlewood Suites Indianapolis NE at 8111 Bash Street, both in the 46250 postcode. Two alternatives are listed: Lazy Sunday Rentals, a vacation-rental company offering 10% off a direct booking with the code LAZYINDYFLOWERSHOW, and the State Fairgrounds RV campground at $40 plus tax per day with hook-up, on 317-927-7500. The Fairgrounds' own camping page adds that electric-only hook-ups are the March option, and that the dump station is closed from November through March.
The room side of this show is a request. The show holds nothing for exhibitors and publishes no rate.
Size the trip on the prior cycle's move-in shape
The live exhibitor kit is the 2026 edition, and it runs against a 2027 show. Its blocks are worth reading as shape: move-in Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with no driving in after noon, Friday 9 a.m. to noon with no driving in at all, and all exhibits complete by Friday noon. Move-out ran the closing Sunday 5:01 to 9 p.m. and the following Monday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Transposed onto the 2027 dates, that shape puts a full-run crew on the grounds from Wednesday 10 March, three days before the Saturday opening, through Monday 22 March. The 2027 move-in and move-out windows are not published, so confirm them with the show office before the rooms are booked.
Two crew shapes, two different trips
Booth staff who work the full run need twelve nights and breakfast before a 10 a.m. door. A merchant who works one weekend, or the Sunday close, needs three nights. Sizing both into one block is what makes the request worth sending.
What the nights cost
Twelve crew in six doubles, arriving Wednesday 10 March and checking out Monday 22 March, is twelve nights and 72 room-nights. At a labelled example rate of $200 per room per night that is $14,400 before any discount, $12,240 at 15% off and $8,640 at 40% off, or $1,020 and $720 per head across the run. A leaner version that arrives Friday 12 March and leaves after the Sunday 21 March close is nine nights and 54 room-nights: $10,800, or $9,180 at 15% off and $6,480 at 40% off.
The Fairgrounds campground at $40 plus tax per day is $480 plus tax across the same twelve days.
The block route and the terms that decide it
One request goes to 50+ hotels in the destination, hotels reply within 24-72 hours, and there is no fee and no markup on the rate. The group rate applies from a block of 10+ rooms per night, and the platform notes that some properties discount from as few as five rooms depending on season and availability. The platform's own definitions are worth having in hand. A cut-off date is the deadline for group members to book before unclaimed rooms return to general inventory, and attrition is the minimum number of rooms the group commits to filling. A twelve-night hold on a nine-night crew carries a cost if the roster shrinks. The Indianapolis directory lists 273 hotels.
Treat the live kit as the prior cycle
The kit is titled the 2026 edition, and its food and beverage sampling forms were due back on Friday 13 February 2026, so ask the show office for current cut-offs. The show publishes no total exhibitor count. Its exhibitor directory lists entries by name with booth numbers, and the page returned those entries at the gate's read on 23 September 2026.
What to put in the request
Four property questions belong in the text, because no source publishes them: the bed configurations the block holds, breakfast opening hours, trailer and box-truck parking, and whether the block sits on a shared floor. Add the credential and parking-pass allowances, which the show's rate page leaves unpublished.
Submit the group request, price the block on the group rate calculator, and check the Indianapolis directory before the show's own room list is assigned. The group rate terms page carries the cut-off and attrition definitions.
