Two show days in Hall A
Food Northwest Process & Packaging Expo runs Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 January 2027 in Hall A at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland. The organiser marks its 55th year and calls the show the largest regional food manufacturing trade show in the country. The exhibit hall covers 60,000 square feet. Registration is required.
Three admission lines
The fee page lists three admission types. Food or Beverage Processor costs $49.00 and carries a validation requirement. Supplier Member costs $79.00. Supplier Non-Member costs $149.00. The Opening Reception is a separate $49.00 item.
Four plant staff on the processor line come to $196. Six come to $294. Four reception places add $196, which puts the party of four at $392.
Clear validation before the form
The organiser publishes the validation condition and no document list. Email kirsten@foodnw.org when a registration type is missing from the fee page. Build the attendee list against the three lines first. Every plant employee sits on the processor line. A supplier who travels with the team sits on a supplier line.
Registration stays open to 14 January 2027. One pass through the form replaces three batches at the desk.
Hall hours and the venue typo
The exhibitor prospectus prints the hall hours. Both days open at 9 AM. Wednesday closes at 4 PM, Thursday at 3 PM. The venue page prints "Wed-Thurs, January 12-14, 2027 9am-4pm" in the same description, which adds a day the organiser does not run and an hour the Thursday does not hold. Book flights against 13 and 14 January.
Move-in runs 11 and 12 January from 8 AM to 5 PM. Move-out runs 14 January from 3 PM to 10 PM and 15 January from 8 AM to noon. Hall A carries the Build, Remodel & Landscape Show on 8 to 10 January and Major League Table Tennis on 15 to 17 January.
Who walks the floor
The prospectus prints the attendee mix: Operations & Management 44.1 per cent, Executive Leadership 19.6 per cent, Maintenance & Facilities 15.7 per cent, Engineering & R&D 12.7 per cent, Food Safety & Regulatory 8 per cent.
Send a maintenance lead and an engineer as a pair. Give each of them half the hall and meet at the centre aisle. Seven hours on the Wednesday and six on the Thursday cover 60,000 square feet across two people in one trip.
The room block
The organiser names one property. Hyatt Regency Portland sits at 375 NE Holladay Street, 336 m straight-line from the convention centre doors. The hotel page runs the booking code G-FN27 and asks for reservations before 18 December 2026. It publishes no rate.
Six rooms need a quote. bookMyTeam's FAQ states that most hotels set group rates at 10 or more rooms a night, and that some discount from five rooms depending on season and availability. One request reaches 50 or more properties in the destination. Quotes return in 24 to 72 hours, submission costs nothing, and you settle with the hotel.
Portland carries 278 properties in the bookMyTeam directory. Start with the room request and read how it works before you fix the dates.
Parking and transit
The garage holds 800 spaces, entered from NE Lloyd Blvd or NE First Avenue. Entry costs $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privilege. Event days charge a dynamic $15 to $25 at the gate. The garage opens at 6 AM, takes cards and contactless payment, and prohibits overnight parking. MAX stops 300 times a day at the front door, 566 metered spaces sit within three blocks, and Portland International is eight miles away.
