The Gasparilla Volleyball Classic runs at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St, Tampa, from Saturday 13 February to Monday 15 February 2027. The City of Tampa record opens the building at 7 a.m. on all three days and closes it at 6 p.m. on the Monday. Play uses the East, Central and West Exhibit Halls.
The venue record states the tournament is by pre-registration only, that tickets for parents and guests are sold with QR codes at East Registration, and that doors open at 7 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The venue points readers to jvctournaments.com for the schedule and admission.
Check the organiser calendar before the block
JVC Tournaments publishes a 2026-27 calendar. On the 13-15 February weekend that calendar lists the NIKE Savannah Showdown in Savannah, Georgia and NIKE Volleyfest in Providence, Rhode Island and Springfield, Massachusetts. It lists no Tampa stop on those dates. Its Tampa entries fall on 26-28 February for the Molten Florida Pre-Qualifier and on 13-14 and 20-21 March for March Mayhem.
Confirm with the organiser which route serves a team block before committing non-refundable rooms.
A Friday arrival and a clear Monday
A 7 a.m. Saturday door makes Friday 12 February the arrival night. Three nights, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, cover the event. The Monday 6 p.m. close leaves the evening open for a flight or a drive.
Monday night is optional. The building turns over at 1 p.m. on Tuesday 16 February for the College Hunks Hauling Junk reunion. A team that stays Monday leaves a floor in transition.
The Friday load-in sets the arrival hour. DRCA D.R.I.V.E.N occupies the building from Wednesday 10 February to a 12 p.m. Friday 12 February release. A Friday morning arrival finds the halls mid-turnover.
Three mornings of 7 a.m. doors
Three consecutive 7 a.m. doors set the parking arithmetic. The Convention Center garage at 141 E Brorein St holds 454 spaces, 11 ADA spaces and two electric vehicle chargers, with a published event rate of $5.00 to $50.00. The non-event rate is $3 an hour with an $18 daily maximum. Clearance is 6 feet 6 inches.
The Parking Division publishes that it may charge a flat rate on a discretionary basis. The venue FAQ states that pre-paid and reserved parking are unavailable.
Overnight vehicles go to Fort Brooke at 107 N Franklin St, 556 hourly spaces with 6 feet 8 inches of clearance and visitor parking to 6 a.m., or Pam Iorio at 301 Channelside Drive, 790 spaces including 41 ADA spaces and two chargers, with the same overnight rule. A van over 6 feet 6 inches goes to Fort Brooke on clearance alone.
The rooms inside the walk
The venue publishes property distances from 333 S Franklin St. Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center at 513 S Florida Ave connects by sky bridge. Tampa Marriott Water Street at 700 S Florida Ave and JW Marriott Tampa Water Street at 505 Water Street sit 0.2 miles out, The Westin Tampa Waterside at 725 S Harbour Island Blvd 0.3 miles, and The Tampa EDITION at 500 Channelside Drive and Hilton Tampa Downtown at 211 N Tampa St 0.5 miles. Hyatt Place and Hyatt House at 325 N Florida Ave share one front desk at 0.5 miles.
Three 7 a.m. doors on consecutive mornings put the three closest properties first in the request. A team that walks in from 0.2 miles saves the garage on all three days.
Twelve rooms across three nights is 36 room-nights. At $240 a night that is $8,640 before tax. The $240 is a planner input, because no property on the venue table publishes a rate.
What the request should ask
Four questions carry the booking. Ask whether the property will hold rooms on a Friday arrival against a Saturday check-in. Ask what the rate does across the Sunday night of a three-night stay. Ask whether a team room or meeting space comes with the block. Ask for the cancellation window on a roster that can change inside 30 days.
JVC's own calendar carries three more Tampa weekends: the Molten Florida Pre-Qualifier on 26-28 February, and March Mayhem on 13-14 and 20-21 March. The venue record for the Molten weekend runs 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall and meeting rooms.
