One day, one hall, an 8 a.m. start
The Showcase of Champions Cheer Competition runs Sunday, December 6, 2026, in Entertainment Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
The venue event record gives 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event page prints the day as All Day. Spirit Championships, the organiser, lists 12/6/2026 at the Florida State Fairgrounds and prints All day beside the date.
One competition day sets the travel window. A squad that unloads at 7 a.m. has an hour before the first session.
The hall carries 51,000 square feet
The Entertainment Hall venue page lists 51,000 square feet of customizable space and 36-foot high ceilings. It lists a stage, portable bleachers for spectators, and a pipe-and-drape set.
Two downstairs dressing rooms sit inside the building. The page lists easy load-in and load-out accessibility, complimentary wifi, and utilities accessible through the floor and wall.
The hall joins the adjacent Expo Hall for a combined 138,000 square feet.
The organiser's event page names a standard 54-by-42-foot flat cheer floor.
Mat and equipment unloading
Neither the event page nor the venue page publishes a load-in window. Put four questions to the organiser before entries close.
Ask for the coach door time, the mat drop point, the vehicle hold rule at the hall door, and the dressing room assignment. Ask in writing.
Send one bus and one meeting point through Gate 1.
Gate 1 off US Highway 301
The event page names US HWY 301 under Where to Enter. The venue gate table puts Entertainment Hall at the US Hwy 301 Entrance, Gate 1. The parking product repeats it: enter through the Hwy 301 entrance.
The event address reads 4800 U.S. Hwy 301 N, Tampa, FL 33610.
Parking runs $10 online and $12 onsite
The event page prints $10 online and $12 onsite. The venue sells the pass on its parking portal as Showcase of Champions December 2026 - Single Entry for December 6, 2026, with general parking at $10.00.
Each pass covers one parking entry. The portal prints One Time Entry Only. A vehicle that leaves and returns buys a second pass.
The portal states that parking does not include event entry. Passes are not refundable, not transferable, and all sales are final.
Six vehicles at the online price total $60. Six at the gate total $72.
The spectator ticket is $25
The event page lists spectators at $25 and children 3 and under free.
Team entry runs $20 through November 1
The organiser's registration form prices the 12/6/2026 Showcase of Champions at $20 per participant for entries received by November 1, 2026. Entries from November 1 to November 15 pay $25, and payments after November 15 pay $30.
The form adds stunt groups at $100 per team, solos, duos and trios at $40 per athlete, and parent teams at $25 per participant. Special needs teams pay nothing.
All registrations must be completed two weeks before the competition. The form takes mail, email and credit card payment through the organiser's Holiday, Florida office at 727-421-6146.
The organiser's event page states no refunds for a withdrawal or a no-show, and states that fees transfer if Spirit Championships cancels or moves an event. Read that line before a deposit goes out.
A partner hotel sits across the street
The fairgrounds trip planning page lists seven hotel partners with a distance field. It publishes no rate, no cut-off date and no block code.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino sits 0.2 miles out, and its copy calls the property directly across the street. Wyndham Garden Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino sits 1.5 miles out. Staybridge Suites Tampa-Brandon sits 2.7, Hilton Garden Inn Tampa-East/Brandon 2.8, Courtyard Tampa-Brandon 4.4, Cambria Hotel Tampa-Brandon 5 and Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa East 5.0.
Twenty athletes in double rooms need ten rooms, and coaches add two to four. Put the date, the room count and the arrival hour to each sales office. Ask for the rate, the cut-off date and the minimum stay in writing.
The fairgrounds campsite takes reservations at $60.00 a night for any event other than the annual Florida State Fair. Payment is due in full at booking, the office needs 48 hours of notice, and reservations run Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern.
Three events share December 6
The parking portal sells Sports Corner for December 4 to 6 with entry through MLK Blvd. It sells the Gun Show for December 5 and 6 with entry through US Hwy 301. It sells the Showcase single-entry pass for December 6.
The gun show and the cheer competition share the US Hwy 301 entrance that Sunday.
Buy the pass before the morning and send one vehicle per group.
Florida sits outside the booking platform
The bookMyTeam seller-of-travel notice, dated October 21, 2026, states that the platform cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida. The notice cites Chapter 559, Florida Statutes and lists Florida beside Hawaii, Iowa and Washington. It states that Florida has not registered as a seller of travel, and that the restriction applies across grouprooms.org, hotelhaggle.org, hotelslots.org, bookmyteam.org and partners.hotelhuddle.com.
Send the room enquiry to the property and keep the written quote on file. Questions about the restriction go to compliance@hotelhuddle.com.
