Indiana Green Expo 2027: sending a five-person grounds crew

The Indiana Green Expo 2027 runs February 8 to 10 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225. The venue forecasts 2,000 attendees. The organiser publishes the 2027 dates on its Future and Past Expos page, and its live registration and schedule pages still carry the 2026 cycle.

That 2026 cycle is the shape a landscape or grounds firm plans a crew against. The organiser describes the show as a two-day trade show with 150 or more exhibitors.

The shape of the three days

The 2026 education programme ran February 9 to 11. Monday February 9 was the workshop day. General education sessions ran on Tuesday February 10 and Wednesday February 11, both starting at 8 a.m. The trade show ran on the Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on the Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hall D.

February 8, 2027 is a Monday, February 9 a Tuesday and February 10 a Wednesday. The same shape puts the workshops on the Monday, and general education with the trade show on the Tuesday and Wednesday.

Who travels every night

The workshop day decides the arrival. A crew of five that attends the workshops, the general education sessions and the trade show needs the nights of February 7, 8 and 9. That is three nights with a Wednesday checkout.

A crew that attends the general education sessions and the trade show alone arrives for the Monday night and books two nights.

The closing day sets the return. The 2026 trade show closed at 1 p.m. on the Wednesday. That leaves the afternoon for the drive home and keeps the rest of the working week intact. A crew that travels on the Monday and stays two nights still sees both education days and the whole trade show.

One reservation and one rooming list

The organiser names the Westin Indianapolis, 241 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46204, as the headquarter hotel and runs an IGE room block there. Its own copy states the property sits across the street from the Indiana Convention Center.

The 2026 block cut-off was extended to January 23. No 2027 cut-off is published, so the date belongs in the request.

Five staff in three double rooms for three nights is nine room-nights, or 1.8 a person. At an example rate of $200 a room a night the room cost is $1,800. bookMyTeam's published saving band of 15 to 40 percent below rack rates puts the same nine room-nights at $1,530 and $1,080. Two nights for the same five is six room-nights at $1,200, $1,020 and $720. The example rate is the planner's own input. No 2027 rate is published.

Registration and what the organiser does not publish

The 2027 attendee rate is unpublished. The 2026 cycle opened a pre-registration discount, closed online registration on February 1 at 11:59 p.m., and directed late registrants to on-site desks at full price.

Those desks ran 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Monday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Tuesday and 7 a.m. to noon on the Wednesday. The organiser states that registration fees are treated as a donation to the two not-for-profit organisations behind the expo if an attendee cannot travel. The fee behaves as non-refundable. Confirm the 2027 figure with the organiser.

Education credit

Every programme is eligible for Indiana Accredited Horticulturist and Landscape Industry Certified continuing education units. The 2025 cycle awarded seven IAH credit hours across its three days. Recertification for the IAH is seven hours per two-year period. Sessions are also submitted for landscape architecture, golf course superintendent, arboriculture, pesticide and concrete paver accreditation.

What else runs that week

The venue's own feed lists eight events in February 2027. The Indiana Safety and Health Conference and Expo runs February 7 to 10 with a forecast of 850. The Core-Mark Expo runs February 10 to 11 with a forecast of 1,500. Monster Jam runs at Lucas Oil Stadium on February 6 and 7. Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms, with 4,700 of them connected to the convention center by skywalk.

Three events inside the same three days are the argument for booking the crew's rooms early.

The one request that does the work

Four property questions have no published answer, so they belong in the request: the bed configuration the block holds, breakfast opening time, the charge for a truck and trailer, and whether the crew can sit on one floor.

bookMyTeam sends one request to more than 50 hotels per destination and gets replies in 24 to 72 hours, with no fee added to the rate. Its FAQ states that most hotels offer group rates from a block of ten rooms per night, and that some discount from as few as five depending on season and availability.

The request form sits at bookmyteam.org/rfp/submit. The group rate calculator sits at bookmyteam.org/group-rate-calculator, and the Indianapolis hotel directory at bookmyteam.org/directory/indiana/indianapolis.
