Both published deadlines have closed

INFORMS holds its 2026 Annual Meeting at Moscone Center South and the San Francisco Marriott Marquis from November 1 to 4, 2026. Two of the organiser's dates have passed. Early registration closed on September 2, 2026, so the individual table now reads $900 for an INFORMS member and $1,250 for a nonmember. The host room block closed on October 8, 2026.

The group desk remains open, and it publishes no deadline of its own. INFORMS keeps a group rate of $675 per member registrant and $945 per nonmember registrant for teams of ten or more from one organisation. Both figures sit below the early rates, which were $750 and $1,080.

What ten registrants save

Ten member registrants on the group rate pay $6,750 against $9,000 at the regular member rate, a saving of $2,250. Ten nonmembers pay $9,450 against $12,500, a saving of $3,050. Against the rates the desk charged before September 2, the same ten seats save $750 and $1,350.

Nonmember rates include one year of complimentary INFORMS membership. The member rate requires membership that is active and in good standing at the time of the meeting, so a firm buying a team should check each registrant's standing before it builds the list.

One person contacts the desk first

The group route has a sequence, and INFORMS publishes it in full. One person from the group contacts the organiser before any registrations are submitted and provides a full list of group participants. The consequence sits on the same page: individuals who register on their own at the regular rate are not eligible for retroactive group rate adjustments or refunds.

That rule shapes a team's calendar. Collect the attendee list, send it, and hold every individual registration until the group route is confirmed. A department that lets two engineers register early to lock a workshop place carries a cost it cannot recover.

Students and retirees sit outside the rate

Group rates do not apply to students or retirees. Those registrants pay the individual figures, which after September 2 read $400 for a student or retired member and $510 for a student or retired nonmember. A ten-person team that includes one student needs a ruling from the organiser before the list goes in.

The room block has closed

INFORMS names two host hotels: the San Francisco Marriott Marquis at 780 Mission Street and the InterContinental San Francisco at 888 Howard Street. The block ran until October 8, 2026 or until the rooms sold out, and that cut-off has passed.

The housing portal carries the cut-off and the block terms. It also routes new reservations to a list of additional nearby hotels outside the group, where pricing and terms may differ from the block's. The organiser publishes no nightly rate for either host hotel, so the number is a question for the property.

INFORMS gives its own reason to book inside the block. Block bookings hold meeting costs down and pay for features such as the General Reception and the exhibit area coffee hours. The organiser also warns that it works with no outside travel vendor, and that any company claiming to be the official travel vendor for the meeting is running a scam. Only reservations made through the INFORMS portal carry a guaranteed rate or availability for the meeting dates.

Flights and the airport run

United Airlines discount code ZSFF643415 is valid for travel starting October 30, 2026. Southwest offers discounted fares through SWABIZ for travel between October 29 and November 7, 2026, into San Francisco, Oakland or San Jose.

SFO sits about 12.7 miles from the hotels and the convention center, a 20 to 30 minute drive, and the organiser puts a taxi or rideshare at $45 to $60. BART to Powell Street Station costs roughly $10 to $11 each way, and INFORMS measures the walk from Powell Street to either hotel at about ten minutes. Moscone Center South runs a garage at 747 Howard Street with the entrance on Howard between 4th and 5th Streets. INFORMS lists four more garages nearby: 5th & Mission at 833 Mission Street, the Mission Street Garage at 787 Mission Street, the Yerba Buena Garage at 750 Folsom Street, and the Moscone North Garage at 255 3rd Street. Its hotel and travel page advises booking a nearby garage, so confirm availability for the meeting week.

What one registration covers

The meeting runs fully in person. INFORMS expects more than 6,000 members, students, recruiters and industry attendees. Everyone registers and pays, including cluster and session chairs and speakers, and the organiser sells no one-day registrations. The fee admits a registrant to all technical sessions, the receptions, the coffee and snack breaks and the exhibit area. Lunch is on your own, meals other than the receptions are not included, and name badges are required at every INFORMS function. Registration runs from the South Lobby of Moscone Center South, exhibits and posters sit in Hall A, and the recommended dress is business casual. November 1, 2026 is a Sunday, and the organiser lists a welcome reception for that evening.

Rooms for the rest of the team

A team that needs more rooms than the two host hotels can hold can put the dates out to competing properties through bookMyTeam. The platform covers 562 hotels in San Francisco, sends one request to 50 or more hotels, and reports responses within 24 to 72 hours. Submitting is free. The process charges no markup, and most hotels set a group rate at ten rooms or more per night.
