A Gym Travels as One Party for Four Days

Miami Grit Classic runs February 12 through 15, 2027 at the Miami-Dade County Fair Expo Center, in Arnold Hall at 10901 SW 24th Street. The meet covers Level 1 through Level 10 and six Xcel divisions. One entry carries a gym across four days, and the whole party books the same four nights.

The event host is TB Meets, Inc. Meet director is Jennifer Karborani, and the meet contact is miamigrit@tbgyms.com.

The Entry Fee and the November 2 Deadline

Standard entry costs $190 per athlete, and November 2, 2026 is the standard entry and refund deadline. The fee includes free team entry and a gift leotard. Registration after November 2 runs $200. Emergency registration at the event runs $210.

The meet's published results pages carry Level 1 through Level 10 and six Xcel divisions, labelled XB, XS, XG, XP, XD and XSA.

What November 2 Closes

The organiser publishes no refunds after November 2, 2026. Substitutions are the route after that date. The substitution deadline is January 6, 2027, and substitutions depend on availability in the requested level. A different leotard size cannot be guaranteed.

An injury refund runs at 50 percent with a medical note, up to January 6, 2027. The organiser recommends early registration because last year's event sold out.

Filing the Entry

Entries go through USA Gymnastics Meet Reservations. The gym registers the team there, prints the final entry, and mails it with payment. Make checks payable to Miami Grit Classic and send them to Attn: TB Meets, 4900 Alhambra Circle, Coral Gables, FL 33146.

Credit cards are accepted with a 3.5 percent surcharge. Leotard sizes go on the printed entry form.

The Uniform Order

Gyms receive 10 percent off all team uniform orders placed with Bold&Grit once registered for the meet.

Four Nights, Friday to Tuesday

The meet publishes no per-day schedule. Each of the four days, Friday February 12 through Monday February 15, carries a schedule to be announced. Hold the whole span: check in Friday February 12 and check out Tuesday February 16, which is four nights.

Team Travel Source is the official housing partner, named on the meet page under Travel and Hotel. The block page lists the Miami Grit Classic for February 12 to 15, 2027. The portal accepts check-in from February 8 and check-out to February 18, so the four-night stay sits inside that range. Its date field opens on a three-night default of February 11 to February 14, so set both dates by hand.

The meet page publishes no stay-to-play requirement. A gym that wants its own block can also send a request through bookMyTeam.

Three Properties Carry the Monday Night

The block lists ten properties between 3.71 and 11.68 miles from the fairgrounds, at $190 to $289 a night. Checked against the Friday-to-Tuesday window, three of the ten carry rooms on all four nights.

Aloft Hotel Miami Doral sits 4.29 miles out at $244 a night. Hampton Inn Miami-Airport West sits 7.86 miles out at $259 and requires a three-night minimum. Holiday Inn Miami West - Airport Area sits 11.68 miles out at $190.

The other seven show rooms for Friday and Saturday and none for the Monday night. DoubleTree Miami Doral, at 3.71 miles and $225, carries neither Sunday nor Monday. A gym that books one of those seven and then adds Monday moves property mid-meet or drops a night.

The Room Type That Goes First

At the Aloft, the king rooms run $244 across all five nights with a maximum occupancy of two. The two-queen rooms, maximum occupancy four, are sold out for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday shows 15 rooms and Monday shows three.

A gym bedding four athletes to a room needs two-queen inventory, and at the closest property that inventory is gone for the arrival nights. The $244 headline rate on that card belongs to the two-person room.

The Cancellation Clock

Aloft cancels without penalty until 72 hours before arrival. Inside 72 hours, a cancellation or a shortened stay costs one night's room and tax. Holiday Inn Miami West cancels without penalty until 24 hours before arrival, and charges one night's room and tax after that point.

Booking fees are non-refundable at both. The Aloft also carries additional non-refundable per-night costs through Team Travel Source.

All modifications and cancellations run through Team Travel Source until the pre-arrival email, which arrives about a week before arrival. That email carries the hotel confirmation number. Team Travel Source answers coaches and team managers on 502-354-9103 and cheerdancegym@teamtravelsource.com.

The Numbers

Holiday Inn Miami West prices the window at $209, $209, $190 and $190, which totals $798 a room for four nights, or $199.50 a night. Its two-queen room takes four guests, and check-in is 3 PM against an 11 AM checkout.

Take a squad of 12 athletes and three coaches. Fifteen people at four to a room needs four rooms, which comes to $3,192. Entry for 12 athletes at $190 comes to $2,280. The week totals $5,472, or $364.80 per person travelling and $456 per competing athlete.

Those figures use published block rates and the published entry fee. The meet marks admission and parking as TBA, so spectator and lot costs stay open.

What Goes in the Request

Send four nights, check-in Friday February 12, check-out Tuesday February 16. Ask for two-queen rooms that sleep four, all four nights in one property, and a 3 PM check-in. Ask about parking for a team van and a coach vehicle, because the meet publishes no lot price.

Name the group type as Gymnastics Meet on the form. Ask each property for its cancellation window and its minimum stay.

Submit the stay on the bookMyTeam RFP form and price it on the group rate calculator. One request reaches more than 50 hotels in the destination, offers return within 24 to 72 hours, and bookMyTeam publishes its group rate at 15 to 40 percent below rack rates with no fee to the group.
