The price ladder has one live window

The Defense Strategies Institute runs the 11th Military Additive Manufacturing Summit and Technology Showcase at the Tampa Convention Center from Tuesday, Jan. 26, to Thursday, Jan. 28, 2027. The city event card puts the Tuesday opening at 8 a.m. and the Thursday close at 4 p.m.

Industry and contractor registration costs $1,390 through Dec. 4, 2026. The rate becomes $1,590 from Dec. 5 to Jan. 22, 2027. Two earlier windows have closed: $1,090 through July 31 and $1,190 through Oct. 2.

Non-profit, academic and FFRDC delegates pay less. That rate is $990 through Dec. 4 and $1,090 after. Contractors register at the industry rate, and the organiser states that rule on the registration page.

Active-duty military and government delegates register free. The route is an email to Emma Watters at ewatters@dsigroup.org, and the address must be an active .mil or .gov account.

The workshop day is a separate purchase

Registration sells a Workshop Day Add-On that is not included in the main conference fee. Industry and non-profit delegates pay $595. Non-US military and government delegates pay $199. The add-on closes on Jan. 22, 2027.

The organiser describes two tracks for that day. One covers metal additive manufacturing across defence and aerospace. The other covers qualification and certification of defence parts. Workshop day carries separate registration from the main conference.

Four industry seats with the workshop cost $7,940. The same four seats without it cost $5,560.

Group pricing starts above five people. The registration page asks for an email to Emma Watters for groups of more than five, and it names a phone number, 201.987.0183, for organisations that cannot attend on budget grounds.

Three days, three nights

Check-in and registration open at 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, on the second floor. The summit begins at 8 a.m. A Monday night booking puts the crew in the room for that check-in.

A crew attending the workshop day needs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, then flies out after the 4 p.m. close on Thursday. That is three nights per person and six room nights for two shared rooms.

The organiser names four hotels at a discounted rate and publishes no figure for any of them. They are the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center at 513 S. Florida Ave, Hotel Tampa Riverwalk at 200 N. Ashley Drive, Aloft Tampa Downtown at 100 W. Kennedy Blvd, and Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown at 325 N. Florida Ave. The page warns that many partner discounts expire at the end of the year.

Price the room line at whatever the property quotes. Every $10 on the nightly rate moves a four-person, six-room-night bill by $60.

What the check-in morning costs in time

Registration opens at 6:45 a.m. and the summit starts at 8 a.m. That 75-minute window sits on the second floor. A crew that lands on the first flight of the morning and drives in from Tampa International works against that window.

The organiser serves a light breakfast, coffee, mid-morning and afternoon refreshments, and a full lunch on both main conference days. The workshop day carries its own registration. The city event card ends the summit on Thursday at 4 p.m.

The organiser's attendee guide cites over 150 exhibitors.

Parking: two published numbers

The organiser states that parking costs $15 a day at the Convention Center Garage. The City of Tampa publishes $3 an hour and an $18 daily maximum at the same garage, at 141 E. Brorein St. Event rates at the venue run $5 to $50.

The organiser also prints 107 N. Franklin St as the garage address. That is Fort Brooke, the second city garage, which carries the same $18 maximum. Check the address on the pass before the crew parks.

Three show days cost $54 per vehicle at the city maximum and $45 at the organiser's figure.

Deadlines and house rules

Cancellations must arrive in writing no later than 20 working days before the first day. Substitutions must arrive five business days before the event, and later changes are handled on site.

The summit runs under Chatham House rules and admits no press to the conference portion. A no-solicitation policy covers attendees and unauthorised parties. Civilian dress is business casual or business dress, and military attendees wear the uniform of the day.

Exhibits sit in West Hall, sessions run in Ballroom A and B, and lunch is served in West Hall. A stand crew working the floor can price its rooms through the bookMyTeam group rate calculator or file a block request at the RFP desk.
