Three Sites, One Roster
The Molten Florida Pre-Qualifier runs 26-28 February 2027 at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin Street. JVC Tournaments runs it as a Level I event with full ranking points on the Florida Region Ranking Report. The City of Tampa record books the building from 8am Saturday 27 February to 7pm Sunday 28 February. The organiser publishes the longer window, opening on the Friday.
Courts 1 to 37 sit at the convention center on all three days. Courts 38 to 42 open Saturday and Sunday at the University of South Florida Recreation Center, 12301 USF Genshaft Drive. Courts 43 and 44 open Saturday and Sunday at Tampa Prep, 727 W Cass Street. A team manager holds three addresses and one roster.
The Friday Start Sets the Travel Day
Three-day divisions are 14-18 Open and 14-17 USA. Those teams play Friday to Sunday, and the organiser lists the Friday start as no earlier than 2:30pm. One 2:30pm wave covers both divisions.
Two-day divisions are 12-13 Open and 10-18 Club. They play Saturday and Sunday. A 2:30pm Friday first serve fits a morning flight, and the venue publishes 16 minutes from the airport.
The Posting That Fixes the Plan
Saturday wave times go up by 15 January. Until that date a manager cannot commit to a Saturday arrival, a Saturday flight or a Saturday van. The full schedule lands on OttoEvent no later than 8pm on Wednesday 24 February, and that document assigns courts and sites.
Online team check-in opens on OttoEvent about one week out. The organiser accepts no paper rosters and runs no on-site check-in. Each roster carries five staff positions, at most three PRIMARY, and those three receive a QR code for entry. Any other adult buys a spectator pass.
Bench personnel need current membership, a background check, IMPACT certification and SafeSport training. An athlete who turns 18 before or during the season needs SafeSport training before the roster clears check-in.
The Hotel Clause Decides Acceptance
A club based more than 60 miles from the venue must secure at least 10 hotel room-nights per team through THS to be accepted. Acceptance runs first come on receipt of the entry fee and, for a non-local team, on hotel booking confirmation.
The arithmetic decides the block. A two-day team sleeps the Saturday night, so it needs ten rooms for that one night to reach the floor. A three-day team sleeps Friday and Saturday, so five rooms reaches it. JVC Loyalty sets a longer minimum for a pre-booked block, at three nights for a 3-day event and two for a 2-day event.
THS runs the block, and reservations opened after 2pm EST on 16 October. The routes are the THS online link or 888-536-8326. A club must be registered and paid on OttoEvent before it can book rooms.
The organiser applies a Stay, Play and Save policy in place since 2011: each team books through THS at an approved hotel to stay eligible, and block rates carry a rebate that offsets facility cost. A team holding a contract elsewhere emails it to THS. A local team needing no rooms, or staying in a house or with family, contacts AJ Joseph at AJ@jvctournaments.com or 719-201-7323.
The Cost Sheet
Entry is $675 for 14-18 Open and 14-17 USA on the three-day schedule. The two-day divisions run at $350 for 10 and 11 Club and $550 for 12s, 13s and 14-18 Club. Out-of-state and out-of-region teams pay $350 for a two-day division and $500 for a three-day division.
Spectator passes run $14 early and $18 standard for a day, $28 early and $34 standard for the tournament. Early pricing closes at 9pm the day before. A spectator enters a team code from the club director at the coupon prompt, and photo ID is checked at entry and re-entry. Children five and under enter free. The convention center runs cashless.
Coolers stay outside near the Channelside entrance, in an unattended area staffed for 7am to 8pm. The building admits no coolers.
Parking Across Three Addresses
The Convention Center garage at 141 E Brorein Street holds 454 spaces, with 11 ADA spaces and two EV chargers. The event rate runs $5 to $50, the non-event rate is $3 an hour with an $18 daily maximum, and clearance is 6ft 6in. Fort Brooke at 107 N Franklin Street holds 556 spaces at 6ft 8in, and Pam Iorio at 301 Channelside Drive holds 790. Both allow overnight visitor parking to 6am. The garage reads plates, so a driver should not back into a space.
USF restricts event parking to Lots 6, 22A, 22D, 22E and 22F on Saturday and again on Sunday. Payment runs through the lot pay stations, by phone or by card. The Rec Center sells no concessions and bans alcohol across campus.
For Saturday's waves at Tampa Prep, the city and Tampa Police direct drivers to the University of Tampa West garage. The organiser warns against arriving at Tampa Prep before 9am, because a car parked there may not leave until after 5pm.
Where the Rooms Sit
The venue's own table puts Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center on a sky bridge into the building. Tampa Marriott Water Street and JW Marriott Tampa Water Street sit 0.2 miles out. A sky-bridge block removes a daily vehicle movement for the convention center courts, and the USF and Tampa Prep courts still need vehicles on Saturday and Sunday.
THS publishes the approved list for this event at 39 properties, with group rates from $179 to $389 a night.
bookMyTeam's help centre excludes California, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington from its service and cites seller-of-travel registration and a surety bond for Florida. This tournament sits in Florida, so the block runs through THS and the property direct. The question list above still sets what a manager asks for.
