A Friday 7 p.m. show at Moda Center

Monster Jam Freestyle Mania runs March 5 to 7, 2027 at Moda Center, One Center Court, Portland, Oregon 97227. The run carries four performances: 7 p.m. on Friday, March 5; noon and 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 6; and noon on Sunday, March 7.

The venue event page prints the Friday start at 7:00 p.m. with its time field marked TBD and no door time. The venue guide carries the working rule. Doors open about one hour before a Rose Quarter event, which puts this one at 6 p.m. The venue asks guests to confirm the door time in the Know Before You Go email. The box office opens two hours before the start.

Three people means three tickets

The Rose Quarter venue guide states that guests over the age of 2 need a ticket, and that guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. A three-person crew is three seats. A colleague who brings a three-year-old makes four.

Rose Quarter group tickets start at 10 seats, so a three-person crew books at face value.

Book in this order

Seats come first. The venue page carries no seat price, so budget a working figure and confirm it at checkout.

Parking comes second. Rose Quarter sells pre-paid parking through its JustPark widget and through the Ticketmaster checkout page when an event offers it. The venue calls pre-paid parking highly recommended because parking sells out early. The Garden Garage holds 1,038 spaces, connects directly to Moda Center and clears 6 feet 8 inches. Every garage opens about two hours before an event.

The hotel comes third. Rose Quarter lists seven properties within two miles and prints a phone number for each one. The Hyatt Regency takes reservations at (971) 222-1234. The Crowne Plaza takes them at (503) 233-2401. No rate appears on the list.

Transit passes come last, on the day.

What the trip costs

Start with working numbers and replace each one at booking. At $45 a seat, three seats come to $135. Two rooms for one night at $150 each come to $300. Three adult day passes at $5.60 come to $16.80. Those three lines total $451.80.

Parking and Portland's room tax sit outside that figure. The garage price stays unpublished, so pre-pay it at checkout and carry the number into the budget.

The firm numbers are the transit ones. TriMet charges $2.80 for 2½ hours on bus or MAX, and a tap stops charging at $5.60 in a day. Youth and Honored Citizen fares cap at $2.80 a day.

The concourse runs cash-free

Moda Center is a cash-free arena. Reverse ATMs inside the building take cash and issue a pre-paid debit card. The machines stand on the 100 Level concourse at entries A-6 and A-21, on the 300 Level at entry C33, and in the Box Office Lobby between the box office and Rebound Sports Clinic. A card loads from $1 to $500 and cannot be reloaded. The card works anywhere Mastercard is taken.

Parking cashiers accept cards, tap-to-pay and pre-paid passes. Send one card with the crew.

Outside food and drink stay outside. Bags larger than 14 by 14 by 6 inches are prohibited at non-basketball events. Laptops, tablets, coolers and umbrellas are prohibited. Bag check sits on the Commons between Dr. Jacks and the Annex Box Office and charges a fee. Re-entry is not permitted at any point in the evening.

The line item to cut

The vehicle is the cut. MAX Blue, Green and Red lines stop at Rose Quarter Transit Center, and the Yellow line stops at Interstate/Rose Quarter on the western side of the campus. Bus lines 4, 8, 35, 44, 77 and 85 stop at the transit centre next to the arena. Three day passes cost $16.80 for the evening.

Drop the car and the pre-paid garage line leaves with it. Keep the seats and the room, and the Friday show still runs on three passes.

Book the seats and the parking space together. Put the room behind them. Leave the car at home, and the trip closes on three day passes.
