The venue clock runs 28.75 hours
The Oregon Podiatric Medical Association holds the Oregon Foot & Ankle Conference October 22 to 24, 2026 in Oregon Ballroom 203-204 at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97232. Thursday runs 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday runs the same block. Saturday runs 7:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. OPMA counts 9.5 CECH for Thursday, 9.5 for Friday and 6 for Saturday, for 25 CECH.
Those three blocks add to 28.75 hours at the venue. A clinic that counts conference days as clinical work time plans Wednesday, October 21 as the travel day, because a 7:00 a.m. Thursday start leaves no morning for a flight.
The rate ladder in force
The August 1 early-registration deadline has passed, so the later tier applies to every registrant. An APMA member pays $549. A non-APMA member pays $1,249. An allied health professional pays $549. An OPMA member pays $49. An APMA resident member and a student pay nothing.
Three APMA members cost $1,647. Three non-APMA members cost $3,747. The gap between those two invoices is $2,100. A team of two APMA members and one non-member costs $2,347.
The fee covers the didactic and clinical programme and the exhibitor hall. OPMA states that no commercial interest provided financial support for the activity, and that faculty disclosures post before the conference starts.
The $139 block room
OPMA holds a discounted block at the Hyatt Regency Portland, 375 NE Holladay Street, Portland, OR 97232 at $139 per night plus tax. The group code is G-OPMA and the reservation line is 971-222-1234. OPMA requires the reservation by September 30, 2026 to secure the discounted rate.
That date has passed. Call the hotel and confirm the G-OPMA rate before the budget depends on $139.
The hotel stands steps from the convention center in OPMA's own description. The Census geocoder puts the two published addresses 0.11 miles apart on a straight line, so the crew walks and the garage stays a backup.
Three rooms for three nights, Wednesday October 21 to Saturday October 24, is nine room-nights and $1,251 before tax. A fourth night, for a Sunday departure, adds $417 and takes the room line to $1,668.
Per-person and team totals before tax
An APMA member holding three block nights runs $549 plus $417, or $966. A non-APMA member on the same room line runs $1,666. Three APMA members reach $2,898. Three non-APMA members reach $4,998. The room line is $1,251 in both cases, so the registration tier carries the $2,100 gap.
bookMyTeam sends one request to 50 or more hotels per destination and returns contract-ready blocks priced 15 to 40 percent below the rack rate, inside a 24 to 72 hour window. The platform names Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington as states it cannot serve while their seller-of-travel registrations are pending, and Oregon is not on that list.
Send the three-room request through the RFP form and hold the G-OPMA quote beside the returned rates. A property that quotes nothing has answered the question.
Parking and the airport leg
The convention center garage holds 800 spaces. Standard daily entry runs $15 up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges, and a dynamic $15 to $25 applies at entry during events. The garage opens at 6:00 a.m., prohibits overnight parking and refuses RVs, campers and trailers. P1 off NE Lloyd Blvd carries 7-foot clearance and 10 accessible spaces. P2 off NE First Ave carries 9-foot clearance and 11 accessible spaces. Booths are cashless. Three event-day entries run $45 to $75, and 566 metered spaces sit within three blocks.
TriMet MAX stops 300 times a day near the front door and connects to Portland International Airport. The Portland Streetcar A Loop arrives every 15 minutes at NE MLK and Hoyt, and bus line 6 stops at NE MLK and Holladay. The convention center publishes 8 miles to the airport.
What the practice manager needs on one page
Put the dates, the arrival day, the rate tier for each attendee, the block code, the room nights, the CECH total and the parking line on one sheet. Confirm the G-OPMA rate first, because the September 30 deadline has passed. Confirm each attendee's APMA status second, because the tier sets $549 against $1,249. Confirm the CME reporting requirement third, because 25 CECH is the published maximum.
