One overnight covers the whole summit

Oregon's Arts and Culture Summit runs Wednesday December 2, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Portland. The venue books it in Portland Ballroom 251 and 257-258.

A six-hour programme with a Wednesday morning start and a 3:00 p.m. finish fits one night. A team flying into PDX lands Tuesday, sleeps once and works the full day before the evening flight home.

The Oregon Cultural Trust states the summit convenes cultural organisations, funders, Tribal representatives, policymakers and statewide partners. The day includes the release of a new Creative Economy Report and breakout sessions on education and cross-sector work.

What the badges cost

The Trust sells four registration options on its RegFox form. The Awards Dinner and Summit pass costs $129. The Summit alone costs $69. The Awards Dinner alone costs $89. A table of eight for the dinner costs $712.

Ten delegates on the combined pass pay $1,290. Ten on the summit-only pass pay $690. The $129 ticket buys the Tuesday evening as well, and the awards celebration runs 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on December 1.

A team that arrives Tuesday afternoon and buys the combined pass gets both days for $60 more a head than the summit alone.

The November 20 deadline closes first

The registration form closes Friday November 20, 2026. The Trust prints that date at the top of the form. The date falls twelve days before the summit opens.

The form asks each registrant for a name as it should appear on the badge, email, organisation, title, mobile number and an emergency contact. Register the whole team in one sitting and keep the confirmation for the travel claim.

The building sits eight miles from PDX

OCC publishes eight miles from Portland International Airport. MAX Light Rail stops 300 times a day at the front door and connects riders to the airport, downtown and the Oregon Zoo. The Portland Streetcar A Loop reaches the NE MLK and Hoyt stop every 15 minutes, and TriMet bus line 6 stops at NE MLK and Holladay.

TriMet charges a standard adult $2.80 for a 2.5-hour ticket, and an adult never pays more than $5.60 in a day. A round trip for ten delegates costs $56 against the day cap. Tap a contactless card or phone on the green Hop reader at the platform.

A team staying downtown can leave the van at the hotel and ride in.

Parking, clearance and the overnight rule

The underground garage charges $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges. During events the gate charges a dynamic $15 to $25 at entry. Three vehicles cost $45 for the summit day at the base rate and $75 at the ceiling.

Clearance is 7 feet on P1 off NE Lloyd Boulevard and 9 feet on P2 off NE First Avenue. A team van or a bus above seven feet uses the P2 entrance.

The garage opens at 6:00 a.m. and prohibits overnight parking. A team that drives in parks at the hotel for the night and uses the garage for the summit day alone. OCC holds 800 spaces on a first-come basis and states the garage can reach capacity on busy days.

The gate opens three hours before the 9:00 a.m. start. A team parked by 8:15 a.m. walks to the ballroom inside the building.

Rooms for one night

The Trust publishes no hotel block and names no property for the summit. Ten delegates need ten rooms for the Tuesday night, and bookMyTeam takes requests from ten rooms.

bookMyTeam lists 278 hotels in Portland and sends a request to 50 or more properties. Hotels reply in 24 to 72 hours. The platform publishes a 15 to 40 percent saving against rack rates, charges no markup, and reports 103,857 hotels across 46 states.

Send one request with the Tuesday check-in, the Wednesday checkout and the bed mix. Name the room count in the request, because ten rooms for one night carries less leverage than a multi-night block.

Ask each property for a checkout that holds past 3:00 p.m. The summit closes at 3:00 p.m., and the ballroom holds no luggage storage.

The December calendar around the summit

The venue calendar lists no other booking on December 1 and December 2. The week tightens after the close. A Marquis, Consonus and AgeRight employee holiday party takes the Portland Ballroom on December 4. The American Northwest Portland Nationals DI/DII tournament holds Hall D on December 5 and 6. The Oregon Business Plan Leadership Summit takes the Portland Ballroom on December 7.

Two clear days sit before the first competing booking. Book the rooms with the badges.

Send the room request on the same day the team registers, and price it first on the group rate calculator. The Portland directory lists the properties by district.
