One Day, One Ballroom, One Deadline
The Oregon Business Plan Leadership Summit runs Monday 7 December 2026 in the Portland Ballroom at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97232. This is the 24th annual summit.
The programme runs 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and a reception follows in the D and E Meeting Room Foyer from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. On-site registration opens at 7:30 a.m. in the Portland Ballroom Lobby, the plenary starts at 8:30 a.m., and two rounds of breakout sessions run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the D and E meeting rooms.
The Seat Classes and What Each One Costs
General audience pays $375 per person through online registration by 12:00 p.m. on 4 December 2026. The on-site rate for the same class is $450.
Public sector and nonprofit pays $275 per person under the same deadline and $450 on site. The inclusion line on that class names local city and county elected officials.
Statewide elected officials take one complimentary admission per office. The list covers the Governor, State Senator, State Representative, State Treasurer, Secretary of State, State Labor Commissioner, State Attorney General, US Senator and Member of US Congress. The page names the offices outside that courtesy: mayor, county chair, county judge, county commissioner, city commissioner, city councilor, city manager and school district board member. Those offices sit in the public-sector class at $275.
Students pay $75 online or on site, full-time with valid ID only. Press and media register free. Volunteers attend free on summit day.
What the Noon Cut-Off Does to a Five-Person Budget
Online registration closes at 12:00 p.m. on Friday 4 December. On-site registration opens at 7:30 a.m. on Monday 7 December, and the $450 rate governs anyone who misses the first window.
Five general-audience seats cost $1,875 online and $2,250 on site, a gap of $375. Five public-sector seats cost $1,375 online and $2,250 on site, a gap of $875.
A roster of three general-audience seats and two public-sector seats comes to $1,675 online. Four general-audience seats and one student seat come to $1,575. Two general-audience seats, two public-sector seats and one student seat come to $1,375.
Read the inclusion line on each class against the attendee's own appointment, then register the whole roster before noon on the Friday.
The Reduced-Rate Route Closed in October
The Equitable Access Program offered a limited number of $125 registrations, and the interest form closed on Friday 30 October 2026. A roster assembled after that date works from the published class prices.
The Room, and the Bookings Beside It
The summit names the Hyatt Regency as its hotel partner and prints a Hyatt group-booking link carrying the code G-OBCS. The summit page prints no block rate, so confirm the rate with the hotel on that code before the room count goes into a budget.
The venue calendar puts two other bookings in the same week. The American Northwest cheer and dance nationals hold Hall D on 5 and 6 December. The Marquis, Consonus and AgeRight employee holiday party holds the Portland Ballroom on 4 December. The summit takes the Portland Ballroom on 7 December.
Ground Cost for the Monday
OCC garage entry is $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges. A dynamic $15 to $25 charge applies at entry during events, so three vehicles cost $45 to $75 for the day.
The garage holds 800 spaces and opens at 6:00 a.m. P1 off NE Lloyd Blvd clears 7 feet and P2 off NE First Avenue clears 9 feet, with 10 accessible spaces on P1 and 11 on P2. Overnight parking is prohibited and the booths take cards and touchless payment only.
566 metered spaces sit within three blocks. MAX stops 300 times a day at the front door, and the Streetcar A Loop reaches NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes. The adult MAX fare is $2.80 for 2 1/2 hours, and a day caps at $5.60 on a contactless card or a phone.
What the Day Covers
The 2026 theme is Reckoning & Renewal. The programme addresses five pressures: housing, K-12 education, wildfire management, tax reform and land use modernization. The plan's own document proposes a Growth Tax Swap that shifts roughly $2.5 billion a year from personal income taxes to a broader consumption base. The summit page reports that Oregon's projected 2050 population fell by 531,000 people in two years. A livestream is available for attendees who cannot travel to Portland.
Ten Rooms and a Quote
bookMyTeam defines a group rate as a block of 10 or more rooms, at 15 to 40 percent below the best available rate, and the group rate calculator returns a first number. A team that needs ten or more submits the request through the RFP form and compares the responses. The Portland directory lists the properties in the city, and a request below ten rooms routes through hotelhaggle.org.
Registration Help
Registration support runs through support@oregonleadershipsummit.org. Press and media go to kayla@orbusinesscouncil.org. The organiser is the Oregon Business Council at 1100 SW Sixth Avenue, Suite 1608, Portland, OR 97204-1017. Payments appear on the statement as FORGOOD OBC LEADSUMMIT, and a paid registration transfers to a substitute attendee because the organiser refunds nothing short of a cancellation.
