Four-Person Discount at the 2027 Oregon Wine Symposium

The 2027 Oregon Wine Symposium runs Tuesday and Wednesday, February 2 and 3, in Halls D-E at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. The organiser publishes one offer that reaches a corporate travel budget: a discount for groups of four or more.

The Oregon Wine Board builds the education programme and the Oregon Winegrowers Association runs the trade show. The two organisations produce the event jointly under a memorandum of understanding, and the symposium FAQ sets out that split.

A discount with no published number

Registration opens in early November 2026. The organiser states the four-person discount on the homepage and publishes no percentage against it. The register page carried "Ticket sales will open up in early November" on the day this piece was written. Ask the organiser for the rate before the budget line goes into a spreadsheet.

Three other ticket types sit on the same page. Educator tickets and student tickets cover a mixed roster. Single-day passes cover the colleague who can give you one of the two days. Spanish language interpretation runs at the event.

Five sessions running at once

The FAQ answers the split-team question in one line: "With up to 5 sessions happening at any given time, your whole team can benefit from Symposium education." Four attendees can cover four different sessions in the same hour and compare notes at the end of the day.

The programme covers business planning, distribution, consumer sales and marketing, viticulture and enology. Track sponsorship is one of the levels the organiser sells. The FAQ pitches the education at owner and general-manager level alongside managers and emerging leaders in viticulture, enology, direct-to-consumer sales, marketing and three-tier distribution.

Tuesday opens registration at 7 a.m. Programming runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a lunch keynote at 12:30 p.m. and industry awards from 4:30 to 5 p.m. The trade show runs 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a happy hour runs 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday opens registration at 7:30 a.m., runs programming from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and holds the trade show from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a lunch keynote at 1 p.m. The organiser labels the schedule tentative.

The trade show floor carries nearly 200 vendors, manufacturers and service providers across the grape and wine business. A four-person team can leave one member on the floor while the other three sit in sessions.

A room block at $159

The symposium runs its own block at The Hotel Eastlund, a short walk from the hall. The published terms are $159 per night plus tax, $30 per night for parking and complimentary wi-fi, with the block held until Monday, January 11, 2027. The rate covers three days before and three days after the event.

The logistics page lists five further properties with the organiser's own walking distances. Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center sits one block and four minutes away. Courtyard by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center sits four blocks and six minutes out. KEX Portland sits four blocks and eight minutes out. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland sits half a mile and ten minutes out. Jupiter NEXT sits seven-tenths of a mile away, sixteen minutes on foot or five minutes by car.

Four people, four rooms, one threshold

Four attendees need four rooms. bookMyTeam's published terms put most group rates at 10 or more rooms per night, and note that some hotels discount from five rooms depending on season and availability. Four rooms sits below the published block size, so the request goes in as a small group and the hotel answers on its own terms.

One free RFP reaches 50 or more Portland hotels, and hotels normally answer within 24 to 72 hours. Offers arrive side by side and payment goes to the property. The platform publishes a 15-40% band below rack rates as its benchmark, and the rate calculator treats a 10% assumption as conservative. Treat any dollar figure from that tool as your own input, because bookMyTeam publishes no city rate.

Parking and the exhibitor price

The convention centre charges $15 a day for parking. The organiser asks attendees to pay before leaving the event so the morning entry lanes stay clear, per the symposium logistics page.

Suppliers buying floor space pay $1,750 for a booth. OWA Service Members pay $300 less and can choose a priority booth location, per the symposium registration page. Exhibitor load-in falls on Monday, February 1. Booth staff and lunches are added through the same registration record.

What to put in the request

Name the four attendees, the room count and the two nights from February 1. Ask for the four-person ticket rate and the single-day pass price. Ask whether the $159 block rate at The Hotel Eastlund holds for a stay that starts on the Monday, and whether the property waives the $30 nightly parking charge for a group booking. Then send the room request through one free RFP, and the hotels bid against each other.
