The NARA NW Sobriety Powwow takes Halls A-A1 at the Oregon Convention Center on Thursday 31 December 2026. The venue card prints 1 p.m. to 12 a.m. and marks the booking a public event. It also prints 503-224-1044 as the event contact.

Six colleagues can take the evening for three hotel rooms, one garage entry and a transit fare.

Two clocks on the venue card

The visible block reads 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM on 31 December. The page's structured record reads 6 p.m. on 31 December to 1 a.m. on 1 January. The two readings differ by five hours.

Confirm the door hour on 503-224-1044 before booking a room against either one. A room bought for a 1 p.m. arrival earns nothing if the hall opens at 6 p.m.

Admission has no published page

The venue names NARA NW as the presenter and prints the association's contact line. No page in the venue set prints a ticket price, a registration route or a door policy for this event.

The planner prices the night from the room, the garage entry and the travel. Admission and the door clock come through the phone line.

One night, priced

New Year's Eve is a single night: check in on 31 December, check out on 1 January. Four properties stand within walking distance of Halls A-A1. The rates come from another event's Portland block at the same venue, read on 18 October 2026.

Hyatt Regency Portland, 0.1 miles, $235 a night. Hotel Eastlund, 0.1 miles, $199. Courtyard Portland Downtown/Convention Center, 0.2 miles, $214. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland, 0.4 miles, $185.

Three double rooms at the Courtyard figure come to $642. That block page states that Portland occupancy taxes run 16.5 percent and marks the rate subject to change. At that rate the bill reaches $747.93, or $124.66 a head across six people.

One garage entry at $15 lifts the six-person bill to $762.93. The powwow publishes no block and no host hotel.

Parking past midnight

The garage charges $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges. Event days carry a dynamic $15 to $25 at entry. An entry at 1 p.m. sits inside the 18-hour window until 7 a.m.

Overnight parking is prohibited. The garage holds 800 spaces, opens at 6 a.m., clears 7 feet on P1 and 9 feet on P2. Another 566 metered spaces sit within three blocks.

A team that stays the night leaves the car at the hotel and walks. The four properties sit 0.1 to 0.4 miles away.

Cards, cash and the reverse ATM

The building runs cashless. Food outlets, parking booths, locker rentals and vending machines take cards and touchless payment. A guest with cash exchanges it at a Reverse ATM in the MLK Lobby, left of the welcome desk. The machine loads $1 to $500 onto a prepaid Visa and charges no fee.

Exhibitors and event vendors may still take cash.

The transit route

MAX stops 300 times a day near the front door and connects to downtown, the surrounding neighbourhoods and Portland International Airport, eight miles away. The Streetcar A Loop calls at NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes.

TriMet charges $2.80 for an adult 2½-hour ticket and caps a day at $5.60. The Streetcar runs inside that fare. Six day passes come to $33.60.

The venue page publishes no after-midnight service. The TriMet trip planner answers the 12 a.m. departure, and a walkable property removes the question.

The rate request

bookMyTeam publishes group pricing for 10 or more rooms a night. Its how-it-works page adds that some hotels discount for as few as five rooms depending on season and availability. Three rooms sit below both figures, so the request asks whether a five-room floor applies on New Year's Eve.

The site publishes a 15 to 40 percent band below rack rates. Its calculator runs a 10 percent default and cites 15 to 30 percent as the range the platform secures. One request reaches 50 or more hotels, submission is free, and replies arrive within 24 to 72 hours. The Portland directory lists 278 hotels.

The fixed numbers are a 1 p.m. opening, a midnight close, one night and one garage entry. The door clock and the admission charge go to 503-224-1044.
