Rose City Classic runs Jan. 21 to 24, 2027, across Halls A through E at the Portland Expo Center. Five people can enter on one day for $30, or across the weekend for $40.

The published ticket ladder

The show's spectator page lists admission at $15 per person, $30 for a family of up to five, $25 for a two-day individual pass and $40 for a two-day family pass. Children under 16 must arrive with an adult.

Seniors 62 and over enter free on Thursday and Friday, and pay full price on Saturday and Sunday. The page still carries the 2026 dates and prices, so read the ladder as the last published figures.

Five people on the family pass pay $6 each. The same five on the two-day pass pay $8 each for both days, or $4 each per day. The pass buys the gate and nothing else. Parking, travel and food sit outside it.

The Friday shape

The organisers state that the Portland Expo Center opens to the public at 7:30 a.m. each day. Judging starts at 8 a.m., the published show hours run to 6 p.m., and variety group and Best in Show judging sometimes run later. The venue card adds that judging begins daily at 8 a.m.

Thursday carries breed specialties and an all-Terrier group show. Conformation, obedience, Rally and agility run all four days. Trick Dogs and the Canine Good Citizen test run on Thursday and Friday. Meet the Breeds runs Friday through Sunday, and the organisers report that more than 70 breeds typically take part.

The Friday programme supports a half day. Arrive for the 7:30 opening, take the morning and early afternoon rings, and clear the hall before the 6 p.m. close. A member aged 62 or over enters free that day.

Saturday runs the fuller schedule. Beginner Puppy competition for puppies four to six months old goes on the Saturday. Scent Work runs Friday through Sunday.

The Sunday final

The Rose City Classic Supreme Specialty Challenge runs at noon on Sunday. The organisers describe it as the contest of the Best of the Best and list the ring location as to be announced. A team that wants that final needs the two-day pass, at $40 for a family of five. The Sunday close at 6 p.m. leaves the evening free for the trip home.

Getting five people to the hall

The Yellow Line serves the Expo Center station, and the venue describes the station as a short walk from the entrance. TriMet charges $2.80 for 2½ hours and stops charging at $5.60 in a day. Children six and under ride free with a paying passenger.

Parking at the venue runs $15 per car per entry, and the Expo Center notes that prices vary at special events. The show's own spectator page prints $13, inside copy that still describes the 2026 edition. Take the venue's figure and confirm it at the gate.

Five adults on MAX reach the $5.60 cap each, for $28. One vehicle costs $15 and carries all five.

Rooms and flights if the team stays over

The headquarters hotel is the Holiday Inn Portland Columbia Riverfront at 909 North Hayden Island Drive, Portland 97217, booked on (503) 283-4466 under the Rose City Classic block. Reservations for the January 2027 event opened Oct. 15, 2026. The hotel page publishes no rate.

Alaska Airlines offers 7% off its lowest published fares for travel between Jan. 18 and Feb. 1, 2027, under meeting fare code ECMQ338. Using the airline's group desk instead of the website adds a $30 per person ticketing fee. The host hotel runs no airport shuttle, and the organisers put Portland International 15 to 20 minutes away.

A team needing five rooms sits below the ten-room threshold that bookMyTeam publishes, and the platform notes that some hotels discount from five rooms. Its RFP form sends one request to competing properties, and the Portland directory lists 278 hotels to draw the shortlist from.

What to confirm before the team commits

The organiser's spectator page still carries the January 2026 dates at the top of its copy, and the venue card still reads Jan. 16 to 19, 2025. Confirm the 2027 ladder on the show's ticket link before setting a budget.

The organisers print 2060 North Marine Drive. The venue prints 2025 North Expo Road. Both carry the 97217 ZIP, and the venue's directions page uses 2025 North Expo Road.

Exhibitors have an early closing date of Jan. 6, 2027, for entries. Spectator tickets need no entry deadline, and the team can decide the Friday or the Saturday inside the week of the show.
