One day, seven hours, one route
The 43rd Folsom Street Fair ran in SoMa on Sunday, September 27, 2026. The organiser's banner and its FAQ both give the hours as 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. That seven-hour window is the whole outing.
The footprint is published. The fair filled Folsom Street between 7th and 13th Streets, plus 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Streets from Howard to Harrison, and Dore Street from Howard to the end.
The gate rule sets the roster
The fair is adults-only. The FAQ asks visitors not to bring children under 18 years of age, and gate and security volunteers enforce the policy. The same page bars pets with no exception published.
Admission runs as a donation. Gate volunteers welcome each visitor and ask for one. A donation of $10 to $20 earns a fair sticker that gives a discount at all bars. Ten people carry $100 to $200 at the gate. Twelve carry $120 to $240.
An 18-to-20 age band is admitted and cannot drink. All partner bars are LEAD-trained by an ABC-certified trainer, and a card is checked on every purchase of alcohol.
Splitting the team across the 9th and 12th Street food lines
The Food and Drink page carries the layout. Seven food trucks sit on 9th Street below Folsom: Cielito Lindo, MSK Kaböb, Trolley, Melina's Kitchen, Mistersofteenorcal, Mozzeria and The Waffle Roost.
Eight food booths sit on 12th Street below Folsom: Berry Sweet, BNB Wings N Things, Carmens Taqueria, Hawaiian BBQ, Kim Tanghulu, Tante's, The Creamy Goat Ice Cream, and World Famous Corndogs and More.
Fifteen food points divide seven and eight between the two lines. A team of ten splits five and five. Twelve splits six and six. Fourteen splits seven and seven, which covers every truck and all but one booth.
The accessibility page carries the detail that turns the split into a plan. Seating is provided at both food courts and at all community performance stages, so each line has a fixed meeting point. Three blocks separate the two lines.
Where the gate sticker pays
The same Food and Drink page lists twelve outdoor bars with their cross streets. On 9th Street, Eagle 1 sits below Folsom and NPU 1 above it. On 12th Street, Eagle 3 sits below Folsom and NPU 2 above it. The other eight run along 8th, 10th, 11th and Dore.
The sticker gives a discount at all bars, and each of 9th and 12th Street carries one bar on each side of Folsom.
What holds a group together across six blocks
The fair ran seven community stages with performers, DJs and live music. Seating sits at every one. The Playground sits on 10th Street between Howard and Folsom, one block off both lines, as a space for women of every kind and for all trans and non-binary folks.
The organiser adds a coat and clothes check service, water refill stations, onsite medical care, and a public health village at the main entrance. The FAQ bars weapons, knives, sharps, glass bottles and cans from the fairgrounds. Smoking falls under a San Francisco city ordinance, and the organiser publishes a re-entry route through the main gates.
Getting a team into the 7th-to-13th Street footprint
The organiser recommends BART from SFO or OAK and publishes the average airport cost at $11 to $13. Muni covers the city and shuts down at night. Fourteen accessible spaces are published, four on Howard at Dore and ten on Harrison at 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th. The travel page recommends reserving parking in advance through SpotHero.
The organiser's own room block
The travel page carries one room offer. The button reads Book Your Room For FSF 2026, and the link resolves to BEI San Francisco, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, at 50 8th Street with group code 260925FOL, check-in 09/25/2026 and check-out 09/28/2026.
That window is three nights across a one-day fair. The property publishes 13,000 square feet of event space and five venues. No nightly rate on the group code is published.
Booking one night when the published block runs three
A team that works a single Sunday needs one night. Twenty people in double rooms hold ten rooms, which is ten room nights.
bookMyTeam publishes its group rate threshold at a block of 10 or more rooms per night, and its how-it-works page adds that some hotels offer discounts for as few as 5 rooms depending on season and availability. Group rates run 15-40% below rack rates, a request reaches 50+ hotels per destination, hotels respond in 24-72 hours, and the platform charges no fee.
The San Francisco directory lists 562 hotels available for a group request, and the form carries Concert / Festival and Corporate Event among its group types. Start at the request form, compare the city inventory on the San Francisco directory page, and size the stay on the group rate calculator.
What to ask before the next calendar lands
The FAQ gives the pattern the organiser keeps: the last Sunday in July and the last Sunday in September, both from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A coordinator can hold a provisional request against the last Sunday in September and adjust when the calendar lands.
Three asks belong in the request. Confirm the block's check-in and check-out against a single-day event, since the published window covers three nights. Ask the property for the nightly rate, the cut-off date, the deposit and the release clause. Ask whether the gate still asks for a donation of $10 to $20 with the sticker attached, because that sticker turns the gate into a bar discount for the whole team.
