The St. Jude Walk Miami ran on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo Center, 10901 SW 24th Street, Miami, FL 33165. The event page prints three clock times: gates open 6:30 a.m., opening ceremony 7:30 a.m., walk start 8:00 a.m. St. Jude runs the walk series nationally, and participants join in person or virtually. Registration has closed. The donation route stays live.
The closing totals read 261 teams and 2,598 participants. The event page printed $570,360 raised against a $650,000 goal, shown as 88 percent of goal.
The presenting sponsor is a Miami company
Miami Supreme Home Services and the Supreme Twins Foundation presented the walk. The company list page carries that pairing as the top corporate supporter at $50,000, with a second row for Miami Supreme & Supreme Twins Foundation at $27,860 across two teams and 231 participants.
St. Jude lists Window World, Kia and Bosch as National Series Sponsors on the same page. Guerra Wealth Advisors, La Carreta Cuban Restaurant, the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation and Wyndham/The Pilot House each appear at $25,000.
Room counts follow the published team rosters
The company list pairs a walker count with each donation row. That walker count is the number a booking desk needs. El Paisa filed one team and 26 participants at $12,000. VivaMas Medical Centers filed one team and 37 participants at $11,170. Centella filed one team and 42 participants at $10,600. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. filed one team and 32 participants at $3,995.
Twenty-six walkers at double occupancy is 13 rooms. Thirty-seven walkers is 19 rooms, and 42 walkers is 21 rooms. Each of those clears the threshold bookMyTeam publishes for a group rate, which is 10 or more rooms per night, with some properties discounting from five rooms by season and availability.
A 6:30 a.m. gate sets a Friday night
An 8:00 a.m. Saturday start leaves one room night for a team outside Miami-Dade County and no room night for a team inside it. The block runs Friday into Saturday, and the whole request hangs on that one date.
A one-night block concentrates everything a property can decline: a single Friday late in September, a 5 a.m. departure, a breakfast that has to open before the coaches roll, and a luggage hold for walkers who check out before the walk starts. Put those terms in the request. They move the rate as much as the room count does.
The event page publishes no 2027 date for this walk.
Price the block against a published market rate
GMCVB, the county destination marketing organisation, publishes a monthly Greater Miami occupancy and room-rate report compiled from STR. The August 2026 edition prints countywide occupancy at 63.6 percent and average daily rate at $162.67. Its year-to-date column prints occupancy at 74.2 percent and ADR at $261.54.
The report splits the market into 11 regions. August ADR rows run from $83.32 in South Dade to $452.53 in Surfside/Bal Harbour, with Doral at $123.45, the Airport region at $111.13, Downtown Miami at $174.86, Coral Gables at $186.41 and Miami Beach at $194.78.
Twenty-five rooms for one Friday night at the published countywide August ADR of $162.67 comes to $4,066.75 before tax. bookMyTeam publishes its saving band as 15-40% below rack rates on the How It Works page, and its group rate calculator prints 15-30% off standard rates against a default assumption of 10 percent that it calls conservative. Applied to that $4,066.75 as an illustration, a 15 percent movement is $610.01 and a 40 percent movement is $1,626.70. The band is published against rack rates and the property's own rate for the date governs. Treat the arithmetic as the shape of the saving and the competing offers as the number.
The venue's published arrival detail and its caveat
The Fair Expo Center publishes the fairgrounds as an 80-acre site with 22 acres of asphalt, underground water, sewer, electrical and telephone connections, hookups for 400 recreational vehicles, permanent overhead lighting, and restroom and shower facilities. The venue states that it is non-union.
Vehicle entrances print as SW 112th Avenue at Coral Way, SW 114th Avenue at Coral Way, SW 22nd Street at 117th Avenue, SW 21st Street at 117th Avenue, and SW 107th Avenue at SW 17th Street. The same page states that those entrances, along with the rideshare drop-off at Coral Way and 112th Avenue, apply to the annual Youth Fair and may not apply to Fair Expo Center events. A coach plan therefore sits with Sira Camilo, the Fair Expo Center director, on (786) 315-5266 and scamilo@fairexpo.com.
The arrival questions the walk page leaves open
The St. Jude event page publishes a route map, the three clock times, the address and a staff contact in Maria Ruiz de Luque on 786.422.4774. It publishes no gate, no parking allocation, no coach staging area, no bag policy and no hotel block. A one-morning team event needs all five, and the answers fix the room count. Ask the venue for coach staging, and ask the walk staff for the bag and arrival rules.
The room side starts with the group rate request, which goes to 50+ hotels in the destination. Responses land in 24-72 hours, the platform adds no markup to the rate, and the group pays the property directly. The city directory lists Miami at 315 hotels and Miami Beach at 352, against 103,857+ hotels across 46 states. Run the numbers through the group rate calculator before the request goes out, and send it while a Friday night in September still holds open inventory.
