Housing a booth crew for two days in Tampa

Tampa Build Expo runs Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 January 2027 at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St. The show uses the West and Central Halls. The city's event record lists the booking under Marketplace Events and sends show details to buildexpousa.com.

A contractor sending a booth crew books two nights and registers every person who works the stand. The exhibit floor and the classes carry no charge for industry professionals.

The five-hour floor window

The floor runs 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on both days. That is five hours of selling time each day, and the crew's day starts before it. Classes begin at 9:30 a.m. on both days.

A four-person crew can split that hour. Two hold the stand for the opening conversations. Two sit in a class. The organiser counts 170+ exhibitors per show average, so the first hour on the floor sets the day's traffic.

The city record carries a When line of 7am on 20 January to 11:59pm on 21 January. That line is the listing's window. The organiser publishes no move-in or move-out schedule on its public pages. Exhibit sales answers those questions by phone, split by company name: Amy Shoulders covers A to D, Debra Blanchard covers E to K, Paula Trimble covers L to Q, Alishia Menchaca covers R to Z.

Two nights, and the Thursday afternoon gap

Two nights covers the show. Check in on Tuesday 19 January, check out on Thursday 21 January, and the crew wakes in the room on both show mornings.

The Thursday close creates one gap. The floor shuts at 3:00 p.m., standard checkout sits three to four hours earlier, and a crew that strips a stand needs somewhere for the crates. Request a late checkout for the Thursday, or ask the hotel to hold bags and materials until the load-out.

A third night, Thursday 21 January, buys a clean load-out and a Friday flight. On a four-person crew that is four rooms and a fourth night on the request.

Where the crew sleeps

The convention centre publishes the walking distances. Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center, 513 S Florida Ave, connects to the building by sky bridge. Tampa Marriott Water Street, 700 S Florida Ave, sits 0.2 miles out. JW Marriott Tampa Water Street, 505 Water Street, also sits 0.2 miles out. The Westin Tampa Waterside, 725 S Harbour Island Blvd, sits 0.3 miles out. Hyatt Place and Hyatt House share 325 N Florida Ave at 0.5 miles.

Splitting four people across two properties

Two properties solve two jobs. Put the pair who handle the booth cases and the giveaways at the sky bridge property. Put the pair who work the aisle and the follow-up list at a 0.2-mile property.

The split carries a cost. Four people in two hotels is two rooms a night at each property. bookMyTeam publishes a group rate against a block of 10 or more rooms a night, and states that some houses discount from five rooms depending on season and availability. Four rooms sits under both figures, so each property may quote its standard rate.

Send one request naming both properties and both sub-blocks. The offers arrive side by side and each property states its own minimum. Keep the second property on the request as overflow, so the crew lands in one building if a fifth person joins the stand.

Parking a van at the venue

The convention centre garage at 141 E Brorein Street holds 454 spaces, 11 ADA spaces and two electric vehicle chargers. The event rate runs $5 to $50. Maximum vehicle height is 6 feet 6 inches, so measure the van before booking this garage.

Fort Brooke Garage at 107 N Franklin Street holds 556 hourly spaces at the same $5 to $50 event rate and clears 6 feet 8 inches. It sits one block north of the main entrance.

The city publishes no long-term parking at the convention centre garage. A wrapped van that stays for two days moves to Fort Brooke or to Pam Iorio at 301 Channelside Drive, which holds 790 spaces. Both garages permit visitor hourly parking overnight up to 6:00 a.m. Front Drive at 333 S Franklin St offers 36 metered spaces at $4 an hour, open 8:00 a.m. to midnight, with no overnight parking.

The city's table prices the garage outside event hours at $3 for the first hour and $3 for each hour after, with an $18 daily maximum. The Parking Division may charge a flat rate at its discretion.

What the request should carry

A four-person crew for two nights is eight room-nights. At $240 a night the room line comes to $1,920 before tax. The $240 is a planning input, because no rate for this show is published. The show charges no badge fee. The rest sits in parking and two days of crew time.

Fix the Tuesday 19 January arrival and the Thursday 21 January departure. Name both properties. Add the late-checkout request and the luggage hold to the same message.

Florida sits outside the platform's reach

bookMyTeam cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida, Hawaii, Iowa or Washington. The seller of travel page states the position. Florida's reason is registration under Chapter 559, Florida Statutes. A Tampa crew takes the terms from this piece and books with each property directly.
